Flowering time

When an article says 12 weeks flowering do they mean from seed or from the time you put it into flowering? 12/12?

If it is an autoflowering variety is is probably 12 weeks from seed. If it is a photoperiod variety it means 12 weeks from the onset of flowering.

What he said. When the commercial sites say a strain needs 8 weeks to finish they mean
8 weeks after you switch the lights to 12/12. The autos don't veg so when the screen says they
finish in 60 days that means seed to pipe. My best time was 62 days on an auto from Attitude.
