Flowering Problems - Plants barely filling/yellowing of leaves

So these plants from my first grow out of mostly random bag-seeds (some of which were up to 5 years old) are apparently having some trouble flowering.

Theyve all been flowering for about 30-40 days now, occasionally get some (purely organic) seaweed fertilizer, kept at room temperature, and moved into a closet for the 12 hours of darkperiod.

Heres the genral setup: 3 plants, outdoor sunlight from the windowsill, which are moved to the balcony as soon as it gets more sunny outside.

A mid-section picture of one of em, showing the little density in buds and more leaf/pistons than buds in general:

And some more pictures of the plants showing sparse buds and some yellowing leaves:

It is probably gonna take way longer than 40 days to flower that girl cuz she looks sativa dominant. By the way make sure that your closet is sealed from light.

Looking good , make sure the dark periods are just as black as you can get it,a little more time and those buds will fatten up, no probs

leaves do dis-color naturally at the end of their life cycle. Try rotating your plants as well to help them fill in better or use a cobination of natural light and artificial light. I have found that this usually works pimp titty and produces stanky danky wanky dank.

yeah, your dark cycle may not be dark enough, which will slow down the flowering. Also it could very well be that that strain puts on most of it's weight in the last few weeks of flower, I've heard of strains which do that.

Everybody says dark dark dark. Makes sense to me. How do plants in the wild grow well with the moonlight, city lights, etc? Man, I have drove at night with no headlights when the moon if full. How does that affect the plant? Just curious as to a plant in the wild's success and a plant in captivity. What do you think?

Plants mature a lot quicker indoors with a perfect cycle of darkness than outdoors, because of things like erratic light cycles, the moon and ambient light:blsmoke:

So... i havent been around in a while, but hanks for all the help & advice!

I usually put them in a (more or less) sealed closet during dark cycles, and will try some of that sugar / water solution now.
Anywho, theyve been progressing alright, and im unsure of how much longer theyll take (yes i know im supposed to look at the trichs, but i couldnt find any 30x magnification device, and i seriously tried... lots...)

Here are some fresh pictures:

Hmm... aparently my original message (before last post) got deleted...

Something to the extent of:

Thanks for the advice/help, am trying the sugar solution water now, and closet is pretty much light sealed. Wondering when plants will be ready, as i hadnt been able to obtain someosrot of trich-magnification as of yet.

Your plants are done by the looks of it mate.
I assume that you used cfls.
There are no more white hairs on your plants that i can see and i would say that this is a bit late to harvest.
If you want bigger fat buds you will need a hps or a lot of cfls.
Harvest now imo anyway and next time try to feed them some molasses all the way through the grow to gain a bit more fatness and if you can give them some more light, well done:blsmoke:

...am harvesting now! So... i hope your sure about that harvest thing! hehe Thought the plant in pic 2 looked somewhat ready, but wasnt sure about the rest, as they didnt really show any all too drastic changes.

(actually used mostly sunlight tho, and i dont think i even have an idea to what molasses are...)
