Flowering mother plants

I didn't flower over the summer (heat) and kept my mothers under a small LED. They got a decent size. They had been kept in 1G pots. They were not root bound. Once my room was finished they were put in 7G pots with super soil. In veg under a 1000W MH they've nearly tripled in size in just 2 weeks. Has anyone ever flowered out mom plants before with any success? I cut these as clones back in July.

They were exposed to high temps and brutality over the summer. Hopefully they deliver a decent yield. Maybe I should have cut clones from them and vegged those out instead of putting the mom's in there?

I flower my moms after a year of using them. Never had an issue at all
