Flowering day 22, first LST attempt: buds too small?

Heya RIU,

This is day 22 flowering for my plants (all of them are Hurkle strain except one bubblegum). I vegged them for 50 days. I have 6 plants under a 400W HPS. I heard this strain is only a medium yielder, but do you guys think my buds are too small for 22 days? I know the swelling comes later, but im still worried as I was aiming for a good harvest. These are three of them.



This is my first attempt at LST, and this strain is also very small (TGA states that it has almost no stretch, I can confirm). Im feeding peruvian seabird guano + algae fertilizer + fish mix at low doses + bloom stimulant. I think this plants are too leafy, right? Maybe I should do some pruning / lollypopping? What do you guys think?

I suggest you trim down the upper top most fan leaves to expose the nodes underneath them to more light. those are huge and are gonna cause a lot of popcorn bud. "lower the canopy"
besides that, you are at the beginning of week 3. week 3 for me is pruning fan leaves. (leave a solid canopy of leaves with minimal light penetration to the ground, but nothing more.)

They look good to me, cant expect much from a 400 w tho

Kill off the lowers instead of pulling fan leaves. You'l need those leaves to help feed the top colas. Lollipop your plants at week 2 of flower.
