I have a 7',6',4' room and i wanna grow ten plants in 5 gallon buckets. The lights i will be using are a 100 watt MH and a 70 watt HPS.

The strains I am growing are pickle bud, oracle bud, indica 50.

I'm using miracle grow potting soil. I am watering with filtered well water.

Does my set up seem good?? Can i grow ten plants under the lights I have??

For 10 5 gallon buckets you would need at least a 1000 watt lamp. And you should never use Miracle Grow the pH is not good for MJ.

170 watts in a 6x4 room maybe a QP with about 3-4 months work you throw in a 1000 watt you could easily get 1 1/2-2LBs

That is a pretty low yield for 10 plants.
I have about 150 dollars save for a new light. are there any 1000 watt systems that cost under 200 dollars??

Bump... any other input??? +rep
10 plants in 5 gallon buckets under 170watts?? is that a joke? no really come on thats crazy talk....... Get a real light go on craigslist or somthing you can find a used 600w/1000w for 200 bucks.....but Really if 200 is all you got why are you even trying to start a grow? you should save like a Grand and do it right. That way you can actually make some profit rather than just wasting time and money on something thats not going to give results that justify the means.... good luck

You need alot more light.... you got real expensive beans and you want to skimp on the light? You would need at least a 1000 w or I would use 2 600 watts for multiple light sources... then the plants will deliver....

Maybe your best option is a stadium/vertical type grow if you are determined to grow everything all at once under a couple low watt lights.

You could also grow less plants, perhaps 1 or 2 at a time. Maybe veging a few under some cheap CFL's and flower under your HPS/MH setup 2 plants at a time. That will give plenty of time for the veging plants under CFL's time to grow and mature.

Or, you could Flower 1 plant at a time under your HPS, Veg the next 1 to follow under the MH at the same time, and have the rest on slo-grow under some CFL's. That should enable you to harvest 1 plant every 4-6 weeks (depending on strain).

Or, to get more complicated, and involve a bit more work, you could flower 1-2 plants per 12 hour shift. First 12 hours, plant/s A gets the lights, 2nd 12 hours plant/s B gets the lights. You will have to manually swap the plants/or lights to suit. Make sure to have a light-tight area to have the alternate plants in when it's their turn to sleep.

Maybe dual vertical set-ups would be the utmost in efficiency for your lights available. Theoretically you could flower maybe 6-8 or more plants using alternating vertical scrogs. bongsmilie

Good luck
