Hey andy,
Yes of course.. Just make sure that the floodlight bulb you want to use has the right properties.. Is it a CFL, HPS or MH?

check spectrum of light needed, and then check that to what the spectrum of the light you want to use is, for a rule of thumb
vegetative cycle bulb very good spectrum
flower spectrum bulb, also very good spectrum
now try to match as best you can to have the best spectrum or kelvin bulb temp, lumens count as well, and well most of all tbh lumens a flux, you can google that shit
but try to replicate and go from there
