Flame retardant foam

Im new to growing inside and im very skeptical about my growbox catching fire when im not home, and end up burning my house down. That would be no bueno. I found some Flame retardent foam in a can at home depot and im wondering if i sprayed it in my growbox and let it dry for several days without my plants in there, would it effect anything with my plants?

Probably not, but you'd still want to put up a reflective surface over the foam, to make efficient use of all those stray lumens.

yeah i had planned on painting over the foam. White of course

Note that you'd want a sheer/smooth texture. I don't see that coming from foam.
