First try after smoking daily for 25 years.

I found a seed in medical marijuana container. It’s about 1/2” deep in soft potting soil in pot with cover. Should I have light on or off ? I’m inside

Technically you don’t need light until you see the leaves actually poke through the soil but I always keep my light on throughout this process. Find a light schedule that works for you in this stage. Here are a few examples. 24 hours lights on, 20 hours on 4 hours off (complete darkness), or what I personally use is 18 hours lights on 6 hours off. Keep it on this schedule for 6+ weeks at least before you consider flowering

Appreciate it I am using the light did you see what I have? First time random seed I wanna practice starting and hopefully continue into flowering

I think they have that on there because the seed hasn't germinated yet.

I agree ^ or he may just have low humidity
