first timer might need help

hi everyone this is my first attempt at this so i might ask a lot of stupid ?'s i made the setup myself from part at a hardware store spent $60 pump tubes pots everything!!!! heres my first pics i'll update pics in a week or so PLEASE LEAVE ME TIPS---CHEAP AND EASY FIXS-------------peace

Glad to see people building! Use General Hydroponic Powder Nutrients MaxioGro and MaxiBloom, you might want to make sure the roots can leave the nets so they can eventually touch the water and get much larger. Your reservoir looks like its large enough.
