First Time ScROGing - Am I On The Right Track?

Hello RIU, was just hoping that some of our members who are familiar with ScROGs might chime in and help guide me along as this will be my first time ever using this method. Having grown autos for years, I've never tried this grow style. Here are some pics below of my current progress. As for grow specs, I'm in a 6.5x6.5x6.5Ft tent, in DWC 5 gallon buckets, under a 1000w HPS with two 315w cmh's (one on each side of the HPS). I have my ScROG applied to 2 out of my 4 plants, and will be placing the 3rd one up tonight. I'm contemplating whether or not I'm too late into this grow to effectively ScROG or not though.
My primary questions are: Is it too late to apply a ScROG, and once applied, do I need to bother with defoliating any of the leaves that are at the same height as the screen? I know that I need to remove any growth that is well below the screen, and cannot make it before the flip to 12/12.

*EDIT* I forgot to mention, please ignore the damaged leaves on my plants! I had a very severe Mg deficiency early in veg and it is actually in part why I waited so long to top and train them to be ready for a ScROG setup.

Be prepared for stretch when you flip. Try to weave the newer growth so that you fill the screen without crowding. It’s hanging now? Be prepared to anchor as the plants will easily push it up.

The way that the setup is, it is anchored to a metal rim on top of my netpot, with metal poles that actually go through the netpot via rubber grommets about 1-2 inches. Do you think that will be adequate anchoring? Also, my screens are already about 75% filled...is this too full? Will I need to remove any of the budsites that are already at or slightly above the screen? Thanks for the response Harley. I am trying a 'quick flip' (36hrs dark, then flipping to 12/12), I was told that it may reduce the transition time a bit. Hopefully that is the case, but if not then no big deal I suppose.
