First time LST training

Whatsup guys, I just made this account and I'm slightly new to rollitup. I got these 12 seedlings in my greenhouse right now. They're all Dr. Dream, which is a purple bd from KDS seeds. (Blue dream X Dr. Feelgood). It looks like they're stretching a bit due to lack of sunlight I'm guessing. They will be moved outside in a few weeks.
So I wanted to try low stress training on a couple of them to see the comparison. Let me know if I did anything wrong here.
I think it might be a little early, but you can see in the picture I just tied the top down so it's almost touching the side of the pot. I loosened the knot a little after the picture, and I just did one for now. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Enjoy you're day

First I believe those plants are in too large of planters and it will not promote a great root mass not that I am recommending you transplant smaller now but in the future. Second your plants are stretched and have no side branches reducing the effectiveness of this approach and they really need to be close to a 6500K flouro. And I agree with the above poster you need to tie the base off in the opposite direction of the pull. Lastly I want to warn you that you can not move an indoor plant out into the sun full time because they haven't developed a protective wax and if you can get some sunlight on them before hand this will make the process easier.

Welcome to RIU, and the wonderful world of cultivating the world's most misunderstood and feared medicines!!!

The only 'advice' I can give you or anyone is to read and learn and then apply what you have read and learned to your garden and you cannot fail. Anyways, remember the search tool is your friend...Lots of folks here willing to help a new farmer get up and growing. But at the end of the day your grow will be only as good as the knowledge and work you put into it.

It is always great to ask questions but do not take anyone's advice or opinions and follow blindly. Do your own research, you will be much happier knowing you have done it for yourself and by yourself. The first buzz you get from your own budz...is by far the BEST high you will ever have!

Do a search using your current question as the keyword(s) and ZOOOM!! Like Wonka's Great Glass Elevator…off you go to tons of threads answering all your questions. Read all the Newbie Central stickies and learn…

After that you are a seasoned vet. Because to soak up all that information and sift through it, is going to take time. You will likely finish your first grow by then. Viola! grow complete and education well under way.

thanks for all the input guys. i tied a string to counter pull the base of the stem, but i bent it too much and it snapped. i guess this one got a little accidental supercropping. i hope it'll be alright, i gave it some more support. i also tried another method on one more. i'll post more pictures later today. :peace::leaf:

Yeah it will be fine. On straight snaps like that I use masking tape just 1 time around to hold the juices in and the bacteria out. But even without doing that as long as you don't move it around it will heal completely in 1 week.

Here's the one that snapped..IMAG0206.jpg

And here's the snap..

I pushed a piece of wire into the soil to hold this one down. Seems to be doing alright.
