First time.. how long to keep in flowering stage?

Growing one plant on my first time so i can get used to things before i try to grow a bunch at once,, its in its second day of flowering, how long should it take before its done? I put it in flowering when its pretty small (about 8 inches tall and 8-10 inches wide)

It depends on the strain if its a indica atleast 8 weeks if it a hybrid or sativa 9-14 weeks and that's from when it starts flowering not from the day you switched to 12/12 it can take up to two weeks after the switch to even start flowering
