First time growing

Hi , so ill be growing plats for the first time and I need tome advice , I plan to start with 2 plants on a 2x2 foot. Should I buy 150 , 250 or 400 hps lamp? I know hps can be used from begening to end what it the distance from the soil in the first 2 weeks? during vegetating? and flowering? , im afraid to burn the plant.

make sure you germinate your seeds before you plant them and when you plant them put the lights about 2 or 3 inches above your pots

if your using a hps they will put out a lot of heat (250 and the 400) 2-3 inches is wayyy to close on a 250 id say 16" above plant and 18 on a 400 watt) u have good ventilation ?? check the newbie cental out its the bible....

oh yes, use a 400w , dont get any smaller . They be fine in that space as long as you use adequate venitlation.
