First time growing in coco. I have a few questions.

Hello all.

This is my first time growing in coco and I believe everything is going according to plan, except I am a little concerned with the whole process. This is the second time I’ve grown.

The first round I grew DWC with liquid nutes and it went better than expected. I am concerned with the current nutes I am using. I purchased “Mother Earth 4-5-4” fertilizer.

Basically, what I am asking is, should I keep using “Mother Earth 4-5-4” fertilizer or is there something better to use for coco? My growing partner had to move out of my house a few weeks ago and I was basically bending at his will on all growing ideas because he used to grow back in the day.

Do they look healthy? I have done minimal pruning and pinching on some. I see on a few that they are shooting 3 blade leaves. Is that normal?

I have 9 growing in smart pots in a large grow tent. I rigged up an irrigation system using a large commercial trash can as the res with a pump and air stones. I’m trying to automate the watering as much as I can. I don’t have it on a timer yet, but plan on it in the near future. When I water, I have to monitor it and make sure I don’t flood my tent.

Currently growing 4 Sour Diesel and 5 Nitro Lemon Haze

Sorry if there are other threads with similar info. I looked and didn’t see anything similar to my questions here.

They look like they are healthy. Just topped? Looks as it should. Even the 3 blade leaf, thats its genetics. My Nepalese and crosses that pull Nepalese are 3 blade leaves.

I'm not a fan of coco but others here know the medium well and will help.

Glad to know they are healthy in the current state. They have been topped once so far. I may top once more in about a 3 weeks.

I use a Coco perlite earthworm casting mix. I feed General Hydroponics. In a recirculating Hydro set up. It will grow very large Plant if you want it to. I always rinse mine pretty well before I plant. Just rent it till the water runs clear it'll be Brown at first. Good luck man tear it up!!!

with automatic watering ou should use a digital timer as you need to water for a minute or two not 5 minutes like analogue timers show
