First time grower!

So basically within the next few months, once I get moved, I plan on growing. I know that I want to grow auto flowering seeds, but I really don't know where to start with the equipment and supplies I'm going to need. I do know that I'm either going to use two computer cases, or two large speakers.

Any help would be appreciated!

If you're growing in a case that size, I'd say cfl's would be your cheapest option. A cheap LED would do the trick also, and they produce next to no heat so that's a big plus for small areas. LED's are a bit more pricey ($100-$200 for a cheap one) than a few cfl's, but I'd say it's worth it. I'll get some link for you after work mate.

You need to think about these things when growing in a cabinet:
1. Lights (CFL or LED in a small area)
2. Planting Medium (Soil or Hydro. Soil is simpler)
3. Ventilation (Air Flow is Important, in a confined area, even if your lights do not produce heat, your plants need fresh air)

There are lots of articles in these forums to guide you on your journey. Don't just rely on this particular thread.
Good Luck!

If the reason you're using PC cases or speakers is stealth, you'll need something to control the smell as well. You'll not have to worry about light traps etc if it's an auto grow. You'll need some nutrients as well. Best to go to a hydro store / online for these rather than buying some generic houseplant nutrients.

I've read through loads of grow stories in this section of the forum. There are some ingenious guys on here and tons of clever ideas around. It's a great journey you're about to embark on Huelex. You'll learn loads from this forum and loads by doing as well. Good luck!

Sorry mate, was a bit busy after work.
Have a look at the different journals, and browse through this section as well.
Good thread to find an LED, just look at a couple pages:

There's also small LED bulbs that can be used as well.

A very helpful thread:

#23 Is a very handy one, and will serve you well.

As far as bytes and everything else just look around and see what you wanna do. I'm planning on going straight organic/veganic next run and that seems like the way to go to me, but to each their own. Have a look at the CANNA and BioCANNA ranges (google) they're pretty good. Also Dyna Gro is supposed to be good, and fairly priced.
