Let me first throw it out there that this is my first grow and have made a bunch of mistakes but thanks to a lot of help from the members here, I made it this far so thanks!
Here is what I'm dealing with now:
I'm 10 days into flowering and I have a very uneven canopy... I'm using a Flood and Drain table and originally I was going for a SOG grow but I used clones from a variety of mothers from 4 different strains. I struggled with the cloning as well so many of my clones made it onto the table at different times. As a result, I had to top a few of them to try and keep them level with the rest. Now I have this scrog/sog hybrid grow going which I know is less then optimal. Now that I'm almost 2 weeks into flowing, I have an uneven canopy. On top of that, my girls are growing extremely fast and are rapidly approaching the danger zone of the lights....
My question is, should I cut the top of some of the bigger plants with the intention of evening out my canopy? Or should I just let it go and see what happens? I know typically you don't want to start cutting plants after switching to 12/12 but I'm just worried that the shade will dramatically effect the surrounding plants and that maybe the tallest ones in the center might get burned by the light. I just cut down the legs of the table I'm growing on to reduce the height but any more cutting and its not going to drain properly... The ladies are under a 1000W HPS bulb... I just switched from a MH today. I left that one in there because I read it could potentially reduce the flowering stretch. I'm just starting to see the very tiny beginnings of the buds
forming so i figured it was time for the switch... I've included some pictures of my grow space. If you all could take a look and let me know what you think, I'd appreciate the feedback.
