First Time Grower Need Advice!

Hey everyone, I am growing 2 Blue Mystic Feminized plants I purchased from Nirvana. This is my first grow. I wanted to get everyone's take on the health of the plants due to recent slow growth and also a dark green that has developed in the leaves. They are in a closet with 7 CFLs that I have hanging from extension cords. The light set up is a little messy but I do plan on cleaning it up a bit. I used Miracle Gro potting mix even though I have read it is not recommended. The smaller plant is about 3 weeks old, the other is about 1 month old. Light cycle is at 18/6. I do not have any ventilation but i open the closet frequently and the temp control has not been a problem. Any advice or comments would be greatly appreciated as I do not know a whole lot.

What bulbs have you got? about the dark green normally caused by too much N in the nuites dont feed just water the soil manufacturer will have info on what to do, some recommend leave it 4 weeks before feeding. Get your lights closer to the plants about 2" away and all around them not just above, the younger plant pot needs topped with more soil all the way up and dont over water.

They are 25w CFLs each ( 7 in total). I haven't fed them any fertilizer at all. I read somewhere that blue mystic has a dark green color to it but not sure how accurate that was. I have the lights about 2" away, I just got a little nervous cause I noticed some burning of a few of the leaves from a few of the CFLs. When and with what should I start fertilizing them? What is an indicator that they have been over watered? Since the walls are white is it necessary to get a reflective surrounding or should the white paint suffice?
