First time grower, looking forward to growing and learning

Day 10:
Growing a feminized jack herrer, coco medium.

The plant is 10cm or 4inches as of now

My current issues is I still did not start with the canna coco because I’m waiting for the ph meter that will arrive in 2 days. And it’s growing fast as per my friends, therefore I got the light closer. Please I need advice on how long should I put the light from the flower at this stage, and if I shall start giving nutrients.
Welcoming all help. As this is my first grow.

A light mix of nutes will be a good start now I personally always feed at least a quarter feed with canna even before the seed pops. I use a 400w led and I have to keep it at the very top of my tent I think you could get that one quite close until it stops stretching I wouldn’t go too close though as it can stunt growth and look like all kinds of problems maybe start around 30cm does it not say on the listing details the recommended height?

If you start with around .33 ec water you shouldn’t have much problems with ph I never adjusted the ph for any of my coco grows I’ve just started doing dwc

i'm sure you will man only advice I have in coco is watch out for too much salt buildup check your ppms coming out and you want them to be getting just a little lower over time if theres leftover it will keep rising an you will probably notice burn etc always flush with 1/4 nutrients at least or you will leech nutrients out of the coco its almost like you have to keep the coco fed aswell thats how I think about it as it holds onto calcium aswell you could read all into it about cation exchange etc. I usually give a good feed of nutrients and calmag after thoroughly rinsing my coco blocks not sure if you use blocks or a bag or premix an then flush it out with 1/4 nutes until the ppms are the same as what im putting in. Your coco maybe ok but I always see reddish water when I wash my coco so I wash it all out before anything. Also I put a tray on a table with a hole on it angled slightly so I could water to runoff without lifting the plant or anything, I also like to give a foliar spray with some seaweed extract in veg helps strengthen plant from stress and keep humidity up. You got this anyway its easy if you stick to it just putting some stuff out there

shes looking great growing into the light is better than forcing too intense light on her :) you just know for next time how much it stretched means you could probably have the light just that tiny bit closer

Coco does not need to be complicated, i done it for years without using a ph or ec pen, i had one just never saw the need with coco. Ive found that the cana nutrients are very stable.
Dont over complicate things asnow ive also had over 1g/watt yeilds using a and b with pk13/14 only.
Like said above id give them quarter strength nutes straight off for about 4-6 days then usually 20ml/10l for about a week and then straight in with the 40ml/10l as soon as they are properly in vegging, about two week mark youll see the vegative growth increase quite significantly.
Once in flowering i boost it up to 50ml/10l and stick at that.
I would repot them also now into larger pots and move the light slightly closer. Just make sure you give the coco a chance dry out a bit before feeding again.
As simple as that, 10ml and then 20ml then 40 till flowering into flowering 50ml following a bit of pk 13/14 at the right time and you cant go far wrong.
And try a bit of lst if u fancy it.
I would consider hid lighting.

planning to re-pot the plant and bury part of the stem as soon as I’m going to transplant for a bigger pot.
This is a feminized jack herrer. Height almost 15 cm now.
Any comments on the leaves? And without the rubber band it’s falling on one side, is that normal?
I’m welcoming all the advice.

I personally let my coco get half the weight/half dry an then water. At first it usually takes a week to dry out a bit (never completely dry) I then wait until it gets dry every 1 or 2 days then I know to change the pot, IMO letting it get dry makes the roots grow out more searching for more water an they get more oxygen. Other people treat it more like hydro an feed everyday. IMO you wanna make sure its full of roots before you repot or it will just all crumble and you wanna repot when its on the dry side makes it alot easier. You can usually see the roots coming out through the bottom they grow very fast in coco. The bigger your final pot the less you will end up watering im lazy so I use a big pot so I only have to water weekly until flower then it goes to every couple days lol.

Day 23 - did the transplant. Although very few roots came out of the plant. I’m afraid I might have killed some roots while transplanting. Please I need some help to move forward. I did not water my plant before transplanting it.
