First time grower log with pics all help is appreciated!!

Hello Every body.This is basically my first time I grow or Post on a forum.

I have been reading for so long so I sayed maybe its time to share my little experiment in here, in hope that I get some guidence throughout my first time I grow, which I spent a fourtune on believe me guys!!

Am busy still building the room but I got everything already.

Ill update always with pics and One more thing sorry for my english am not native and probably high !

The whole thing will be as the following:

Setup :

G-tools cabinet:

H 230cm \W 118 cm \ D 78 cm1 x 160mm air out in the top of

the cabinet

hocked to TD silent 500m3 and 425 can lite filter

Inlets are 8x 70mm passive intake holes in the bottom of the tent (let air in but no light out)

2x fire extinguisher

SMS hybrid 4 amp fan controller

1x honeywill H900 fan to focus on the planet

(Root it) thermostat,, hocked to 70w tube heater for night time

Humidifier (I have but dont need at the moment) as Rh is around 60% always,which I read its good for seedlings

Light :

I have 1X T neon setup (2lamps)55w for seedlings

I have 4 lamps for this 2lamos relflector wihich us

1x55w 6500k

1x 4500k

2x 2700 k

I wanna use this two 55w lamps for seedlings basically and side support later on

Main light is for vigging :

Hortiline Northstar reflector 60x60 (looks like kick ass refkector honest) sunmaster Hobby dimmable ballast 250\400\600w and 660w super lumens

I have already 1x 250w philips metal, halide1x 400 w philips metal halide for veg.



Ill start with the 250w MH after I finnish the seedlings in the TNEON then for the late veg Ill put the 400MH then Ill flower on the 600 w philips HPS which i already have.

Moreover, I got one 150mm axil fan, am planing maybe on having it on the top of the northstar reflector and direct the air out to the filter direction.

Medium is: 2x 50liter plagron coco

1x 10 liter plagron perlite

Am planing as well to transplant more than once till I finnish in the 5 gal pots

4x 18liter square pots

4x 11 liter square pots

4x 6,5 liter square pots



Fertilizers :



PH pen I have on hands and have ordered TDS meter which is on the way I expect to get it by next monday..

ALL IS FEMMINIZED!!



Any way Ill be growing just 4 plants out of all (state law is 5 max).

I wanted basicaly to start with 1 of each strain so 4 in total which I Believe will be reasonable for the space I have..

I the started one of the outos alone now the after 3 weeks Ill add one of the other 3 strains femminized seeds and have all of them in the same tent

I wanna start the auto first for 3 weeks the add the other 3 seeds to the same tent afterwards



THE GOAL IS :



To finnish the 1 auto after 11 weeks and veg the other 3 for 8 weeks from seeds. ALL on 18/6 light

***Just 8 weeks for the regular to veg

And 11 for the Auto to flower and finnish



Am planing on that after 11 weeks from now ill flip the light to 12/12 for the other 3 seeds :

1 bubblegum

1 Somango

1 Shining Silver Haze

Which all suppose to flower between 9 and 11 weeks!



Think different is already in the propagator, since 15 October and here is her log:

Water ph will vary somewhat due to dissolved oxygen.Rather than continually adjusting the same water,use it immediately,you should be using the least amount of ph adjusting compounds as possible generally.Your medium will have no problem with dissolved oxygen.

As am growing just one auto at the moment I have made just half a liter of water which I use since 14 october.

Just one or two drops of PH down drive my ph very down, then I have to mix it alittle with normal drinking water to raise it up again.

Was alittle pain in the ass at the begining but now I start to know how it works.

The thing is that I use spongpot to germinate the auto
And those plogs comes with bacto water to use it to water the seedline in the propagator, which I do.

I have no Idea tell when I can use this water, but I think week is the max

If the seed didnt germinate by 21 october ill open the spongpot and check it..

I dont know why but I have this feeling that it will not germinate !!

I am tryen to be optimistic :-/!!

Do I understand that if I adjusted the water and lift it for alittle its normal that the PH raise up becouse of dissolved oxygen.

So basically thats like a false reading?! And its no problem to use it again?? Even if the PH has raised up?!!

On my water only feedings,ill areate my water with an airstone just for some extra goodness for the roots.Some time the ph swings a little,but it has never caused me any issues.My tap runs 7.5 to 8 so I ph it too

My tap water is exactly the same reading, between 7,9 and 8.1 !!

I will grow in coco not hydro.

I just wanna know if what am doing is right or should I change any thing at the moment?!

I have orderd 50 liter water tank to researve the water in it for 24 hours before I use it.

I dont use any starter plugs or anything to germinate my autos so I dont really know about that.What I can tell you is make sure you use some type of humidity dome and do a good amount of misting from a spray bottle witb your ph water,when they are very young.

I germ right in the pot im going to grow in.I use a plastic cup cut in half.Bury it in your coco partially and fill it with light warrior or some other seed starting mix and thoughly moisten.Plant your seed about quarter
inch below the surface and use the bottom half of a 2 liter as a dome(make sure you make a vent)...put a little light on it and keep it moist.(the dome will help alot with that)use that spray bottle..You can leave the cup there until harvest.

Ive germed in moist paper towels and all that and really most methods are viable...remember this seed wants to grow.This way just seems less stressful overall on the plant...you never have to expose tap roots etc

Seed starting mix like light warrior is nice because it has a little nutes to get your seedling established before you start your coco nutrients

The cabinet seems to small to veg a plant 8 weeks?looks like a 18 gallon rubber maid planter with 2 plants,scrog screen and the 600w hps would work in there...probably yield 10oz.

Plants would end about 4 feet tall with the 8 week veg...you would also need 1000w to get light down to the bottom.

5 plant max takes sog out of the picture here.

Bro, This is one of the best logic answers I have read seriously.

I can get my hands on only cana seed mix at the moment, we dont have light worrior in here :s



What Ill do is that by next friday ill have this then Ill start your method but with the other 2 think different.

I know that this is my first time and am expecting alot of mistakes till I know how it works all in practice

** Ill make a change in the plan now

Ill start those two autos when I get the seed mix. Then after 6 weeks Ill have the other 3 (somango bubblegum, silver haze) in the same tent for 6 weeks to veg while the other 2 autos finnish..

Ill plant those 2 autos in 11 liter pots using resinhound method .

Fandong, I was thinking in doing LST from begining, so I can keep low profile.

I got my self bending wire special made for training plants and maybe later on I was thinking in buying those



They look nice and promising!

belive it or not I have orderd as well 2x 60x90 secret garden scrog net to fit in my cabinet.

However, I was thinking Now I wanna learn how those plants grow, check them closely, watch them.. and wanna be able to raise them out of the tent and check them etc.... While this will be hard with the Net and while I have lower doors in the cabinet which I can water from, however, I sayed not!! ...

Maybe for the regular seed later on!

I really dont know if my cabinet is big enough, but for sure it can take up to two big ones!! Suppose to I mean and hope !

But I read some ppl do till even 12 in such space (small ones for sure, sog style).. However am not in for that maybe scrog later..

My cabinet can take the two hoods I have

Sorry was very busy lately with work and family, thats why I couldnt post my new progress..

Okay here we go,, the first seed as I have expected is died ( Am sure it was over watering) newbie mistakes!!!

So I have adoubted to the advise I got in here. However, I have used jiffy pallets instead of the soil mix for the seedlings.

21\october I have extended the pallets in ph water of 5,5 mixed with Rhizo, added the seed then to final pot inmidiatelly..

Here is some pics of the two think different autos from dutch passion.



As you can see here, the is still stuck to the plant . I tried to shake it so it fall but that didn't work. So ill just leave it I think.till it fall by it self!


And here is some more pics of the cabinet as promised.





Ill connect the MH soon I hope, maybe in two weeks or even sooner if you gus think it will be okay??!





Now I have two concerns!!!

First the humidity sometimes can reach even 97% without the dehumidifier on!!!

Is thats a probleem gus ??!!

Maybe if i add the MH the RH will fall down??!

With the 2 TNeon of 110w I struggle to keep my temo high as 22/23c with 70w tube heater and on the lowest fan speed So I have orderd one more 250w heater to add!!

We will see about this later hopfully when I have the MH ON ill keep it around 25c light on And 22 light off!
