First Time Grower - I Have A Quick Question

Hey guys,

This year is my first grow. I purchased fem seeds off attitude a few weeks ago. I intened on growing outside. I live in Connecticut and our last freeze can vary, sometimes it can be in May.

It's been warm lately and I already germinated my seeds. I have them in small pots in my window sill. The window sill gets good light. I was wondering if this was a bad idea. I wanted to get a jump on the growing season. Hopefully I just have to keep them in the window sill for a few weeks week and then I can transplant them outside.

Has anyone else done this? Also what can I expect for a yield on an outdoor plant? I purchased Hollands Hope because all the research I did said it grows well here in New England and it can withstand the harsh climate we sometimes have. I've done plenty of research on growing and I will be using soil with time release nutrients. When I transplant them outside I will be using some more nutrients with my watering a few times a week.

Any tips from experienced growers would be appreciated. But please, is this window sill idea good or bad?

outdoor plants really have the whole year to grow not to mention all the space the roots have, you plant can get up to 8-10ft tall, and if you do HST(high stress trainning) you can increase bud growth by a lot, so the yield could be anywhere from 1oz - 1lbs. It depends on how well it is treated, and if you can keep the bugs out.

I did the window sill thing for a few weeks then I got a set up in my room. It works, just don't let anyone walking by see it. I also want to my my girl outside. She is nine weeks old, I topped mine, but if you want a bigger yield I wouldn't recommend doing it till it gets taller than when I did mine (1') Will wind be an issue outside? You don't want any broken stems.

Yeah, also don't forget to talk to her too!! LOL Try and keep her warm.

Wind shouldn't be much of an issue. The place where I am growing has a giant fence (8 feet maybe) behind it. I did read that wind is a good thing as long as it's not too strong and I know it can still receive a nice breeze. I literally just put my girls in the window sill (just germinated them). roughtly how tall should they get in the next few weeks?

how big it gets before it goes outside really depends on alot of things but on average mine are 1ft tall at the 4 week mark.

Tbh, the bigger the better while she's inside because the stalk will thicken up alot and there's less chance of it falling over or being eaten/damaged easily like a seedling. Just make sure to give it wind while it is inside with a fan, otherwise most strains will fall over within a few gusts outside. Also probly should monitor temps overnight it is probly a bit chilly in the window. seedlings prefer it fairly warm.

Good Luck tho, sounds like you have a good spot lined up and that imo is one of the most important things other than keeping the god damn bugs away lol. Yields can vary alot but you could end up with a monster 4.5 pound plant like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7n7l8urOJfc
