First time grower here :) Have a bubbleponics system with 6" pots and a 400W HPS light. Just transferred my germinated seeds into the system today. Main concern is the watering cycle. Do I leave it on 24/7 or have an on/off cycle? I've heard mixed feelings about this. Any advice greatly appreciated :peace:

bought the same set up. you wont be able to keep all thoughs plants in one tub. you should have sprouted before you put the rockwool in the rocks. ( an inch growth )

and if your useing just two cfl lights like the ones that came with mine, it wont be enough light when you need to bloom.

That's why I'm asking questions good sir. Hear one thing, hear another somewhere else. Too much info to decipher what's best. In the end it usually comes down to what works for you.

after i bought mine in the package they had a note saying you probably shouldnt put that many plants in one container. live and learn.

Just a thought Game, but at first I didnt leave my water pump running 24/7. Small sprouts dont need much water compared to mature plants so be careful of overwatering them while they're young ;) I waited a week or so after they rooted before I turned on my drips. Hope all goes well for ya ;) Happy growing!

Thanks for the input ;) A little update, my seeds breached the rockwool, and 2 have shed their shell :) getting real exciting up in this bitch :D lol

Whats up Game, mineralz got it right try not to keep the rockwool too wet it absorbs a lot of water and in many cases will drown out your roots from gettting oxygen. That being said, you dont want your water pump sprayin 24/7. couple times a day for a few minutes until you rockwool gets wet but not soaking wet where its dripping nah what I mean? Also I would get that rockwool a little deeper so the hydoton covers it up or plastic cover net pot cover something a long those lines this will keep you roots in the dark which is what you want and wont get so much of an uneven drying of the rookwool. For instance the top is getting dryer before the bottom of the rockwool so you think ooh I need to water again when you really dont. And mayb a side note you want the roots to "reach" for water especially in the beginning stages so keep that in mind before sprayin her with too much water again

Good luck homie if you got anymore questions as you can see your in the right spot so post away

peace!
