First time-grower, a little experiment

So I am germinating 10-15 some bag-seeds at the moment and when they are sprouted I will plant them in pots and plan to pee on them for fertilizer and will leave them outside to let nature do its work.

What should I be expecting?

ps I am a poor kid and I just wanted to get some experience and I have been lurking for a couple weeks; I am not trying for a big yield or anything, just wanted to try growing.

pps. is there anything I can do for real-cheap that would feed the plants or do anything to help in general

if you plan on using pee as fertilizer make sure you piss in a bottle or something so you can dilute it heavily with water. If you piss directly on them they will probably die. I have used urine before heavily diluted 1 tablespoon per gallon It didnt kill my plants and seemed to restore them to there original green color and also seemed to help with the speed of growth...All that said I only did it because i had no decent veg ferts around I use ferts something like 20-10-15 for veg not sure but i believe urine only contains N

thanks marcus, but i also take a multi-vitamin everyday, shouldnt that do something? like the excess nutrients going into my pee or something to feed the plants

and i read that 1:10 piss to water ratio is good for watering, yes?

i actually heard about this a few years ago, using urine as a fertilizer as its pretty high in NPK and other elements. Though the thing that put me off is its prone to rapid bacteria growth. Im sure the ph of fresh urine was slightly acidic but whens it stored the ph shots through the roof. (dont quote me on that lol)

If u know your chemistry u can seperate the N,P and Ks by physical or chemical processes.
Ive never tried using urine myself, but i might look into it abit more as piss is very cheap and very easy to obtain ;)

While urine has a high amount of nitrogen in it, it also has a high abount of ammonia, and that will kill your plants. I wouldn't recommend urine in any amount. If you want cheap fertilizer, go to Wal-Mart and buy some Miracle Grow all purpose for $3. It will last you a LONG time too.

And I doubt a multi-vitamin will show up in your urine. The purpose of the vitamin is so that your body will use it, so not enough will show up in your urine to make a difference.

actually pseudonym, we dont pee straight ammonia, its urea

and another question - theres some old fertilizer in the garage but its been there for maybe a year or maybe one or two more, is it still good?

and another thing - im pretty sure something is coming out because my pee is always really yellow after i take the multi vitamin so theres some excess coming out

EDIT:
from wikipedia on human urine
Urine has applications in gardening and agriculture as a fertilizer. Gardeners often recommend a dilution of 10-20 parts water to one of urine for application to pot plants and flower beds during the growing season; pure urine can chemically burn the roots of some species. Urine typically contains more than 50% of the nitrogen and phosphorus and potassium content of whole sewage, and is widely considered as good as or better than commercially-available chemical fertilisers or stabilised sludge from sewage plants. Urine is also used in composting to increase the nitrogen content of the mulch, accelerating the composting process and increasing its final nutrient values.
Urine is also being actively considered as a fertilizer for use in food-crop agriculture in developed countries. Studies into its feasibility and safety usually indicate that it is an acceptable alternative to chemical fertilisers and stabilised sludge. However, the technology to implement its use on a large scale has not been developed, and is considered too expensive. There are also concerns over its safety regarding the potential for transmitting infectious disease and refluxing xenobiotic compounds (associated with toilet-cleaning products and prescribed drugs expelled in urine) in the human food chain. Proponents of adopting urine for this use usually claim the risks to be negligible or acceptable, and point out that sewage causes more environmental problems when it is treated and disposed of compared with when it is used as a resource. Critics generally agree that more research is needed into how the resource is to be collected, processed and handled.

after reading that article, im definitely doing this, by making a 10:1 solution of water to urine

and now the question is...how should i be going about watering with my concock-tion

Just dilute the urine with water. I can't imagine that it can really do that much damage, but to tell you the truth. It's a weed, it really can go with just water. I have seen plants grown with nothing but extra water outside and they don't have any noticeable problems. Remember, in nature, there's no one there to measure PPM and PH. It's just when you start messing with nutes that it all becomes very important. If you are patient and don't look for ENORMOUS yields, stick it outside. It'll grow.

Just to clarify, marijuana is not a weed. Weeds are unwanted plants that reproduce aggressively and often inhibit the growth of other plants. Marijuana does none of this and is (as far as I can tell on this board) a very desirable plant species. :p

As for watering and adding nutes: Water only when necessary, which means water when the soil that your plant is in is completely dry. You'll have to stick your finger down a couple of inches to tell if the soil under the topsoil is dry enough that it needs watering. Also fertilize only when necessary. You should probably wait until around week 3 of veg and begin fertilizing with 1/4 strength. But if you see a need fertilize earlier, then do so.

I would personally plant it in a pot just because you can give it better soil then what your backyard provides. You can also avoid many diseases and pests that are in your backyard's soil. But it's more of a personal preference I guess.

By brother in law uses Rabbit crap, and he swears by it. His plants look pretty good but what do I know.

what do you mean by fertilize only when necessary, how can i tell if it needs it
Slow growth, yellowing of leaves, other deficiencies. You'll learn to spot problems as they begin. Overdoing things is usually worse than doing too little. Many people will waaaay overdo the fertilizing because they think it'll super-speed growth and usually end up with burned plants or dead plants.

I've grown tomatoes in rabbit droppings which also supported a bed of red worms. I no longer have rabbits so that option is out for me now that I've rotated crops.
