First Time Closet Grow From Seeds!!!

Ok so im kinda starting this journal late, my plants are a monthish old from seed, i germinated the seeds in paper towel than planted in organic soil, i had them under t5's and 42/150 watt flouros for the first few weeks until i got my closet set up, the room still is not fuylly finished but coming along, i will be using 400w hps and mh for the process, right now i have been using the hps for the last week or so changing over from t5's, i have been able to sex a few and have thrown away 5 males from 50 plants that i started with, they have been on 18/6 using hps for the last week, in the last 2 weeks i have been using an organic veg juice fertilizer every water and they seem to be taking to it very well, i have a fan on 24/7 blowing on them on high and i now have t5's inbetween them and will be adding more on the walls around them to get real nice thick stalk, let me know what you guys think....i will be adding more pics as i go so please check back, any input would be greatly appreciated.....these pics are from the beggining days up till now...theres alot but i need to catch up so enjoy!!!

Looks nice, but I can't honestly say I like the idea of hosting those pics on webshots..... I would just upload to this board because im pretty sure the servers are canadian instead of american... you never know.

Like I said, the plants look very nice. What about some fluoros on top for the other side of the spectrum on the big leaves? isnt hps way better for flowering than vegging?

yeagh i have a metal halide i started using hps to determine sex sooner so i can rid my males than im gonna slam them into metal halide for rest of veg...i wanna grow them as big as i can get them before flower...hopefully 6 feetish...im going to line the walls with t5's as soon as i get more cash...ill also post pics of my mum room when i get it started......just gonna line it with flouros from top to bottom....yeagh im gonna go do that up now and delete them off that one site....thought it would be kinda heat

day 30ish from seed

So today i put tarp down cause the floor wasnt looking its best....slowly the rooms coming along, this week im gonna go get some black and white to line the walls and ceiling......they seem to be adapting well to the nutrients i have been using for veg...there very thirsty almost having to water everyday, i have thrown out 2 more males today....i decided to take what i believe is a female out and put her into 12/12 using flouros as a little experiment to see what happens.....i have some pics of the bigger plants i just took today....theres a few of what the room looks like today after the tarp being added...the first few are of the female i iscolated and put into 12/12 yesterday....the rest of the single plant pics are still in 18/6 under hps till i find all the males......im still trying to figuer out how im going to mount my mh because its self ballasted and huge and heavy and i dont think it will hold in the apartement ceiling so i might have to construct some kind of structure to hold it..........im sure ill have fun doing that...he he he ....so many different things keep coming up everyday......cheers to the guys who have been growing for years cause it does take quite the bit of effort....lemme know what you think....and please suggestions would be appreciated....especially any nutrients that are real good that i can use with soil!!!

So you plan on hanging T5s on the walls? I would think haning them down into the canopy would be better but i dont know.. depends on heat i guess. I jsut wouldnt think the intensity from T5s is that great after 2 ft...

Edit: Also when all those are 8 ft plants in that area that 400 will be not enough light dont you think? I would spend your money on 2 600s, 2 400s or a 1000w to get the best bang for your buck intead of the T4s. That will requirw some penetration bro...

thanks man...i think the new plan is to start flowering now that way i can keep em smaller and and do more pmlants and after this op im gonna spring on some more lights....the t5's are just to gte some of the spots that the hps might not reach like the stems and shit.....its gonna take some experimenting tho

how big do the pots have to be for each one? what is a good size pot to grow it in from start to finish

oh and wait till U weed out the males, then worry bout lighting. U can grow up to 16 plants under the 400W hps, U wont have a problem at all if all of them are topped like that.

great job so far, get them outta those smaller pots asap tho.. 30days is about when U should transplant or expect to see signs of root bound/pot bound (lower leaves yellowing & brown patches)

i wish i would of started with big pots in the first place but space is always an issue, i transplanted some into bigger pots and some are still in small ones....i was hoping to see if i can sex before i transplant just to save some money and only have to transplant the ladies....but if i start to see signs i will do it right away....ill post more pics tonight after the lights are back on...dont want to disturb their sleep ...lol......was it a good idea to top?...i just thought the idea of multiple coalas waas wonderfull!!!

So on monday i went and got some fox farm products and started my plants on 12/12, i also replanted all the ones in smaller pots into bigger ones until i can divide fems and than i will replant the fems into huge ones.....runnin out of room with them all- right now hopefully i can divide sex soon....i am gonna post some more pics in a bit of what they look like today these are some of yesterdays pics...july 14th.....the first week of flower with the new nutes.....i purchased fox farms tiger bloom, big bloom, bestie bloomz, and cha ching...i just have a question for gangagodess or any one else who can help......so when mix big bloom and tiger bloom to my water and check the ph it is reading around 4ish and i had to use quite a bit of ph up to bring it back up....should i be doing this or phing my water first and than adding the nutes....im just confused....do these nutes bring down the ph that much???

DAY 4 OF FLOWERING

Ok so This afternoon im going to get some rockwool and root juice and a new fan and some black and white to divide the area and for emination, i removed a male today...i post a pic to verify but i actually squeezed out a little tiny white looking seed, they seem to be growing alot faster and i leveled them otu as much as i can and i have the light a foot and a few inchs from the top of the plants, i sprayed them with water today but havent watered in 2 days cause i think i was over watering a bit i had some wheeping leaves but there getting better.....hey what should temp be cause mines like 90 degrees with a 70ish humidity...i have air conditioners that i have to put in my place soon as i just fully moved in this week.....its mad hot in ontario canada right now!!!.....i hope this is ok they look alright and i try to keep the door open a bit and the temp does drop a bit....ive added a few pics of the room today as well and the biggest plant in the room today......the last pics are of the male plant that i killed off and some of the pre flowers.......
