I was planning on creating my own stealth grow box. I have a dresser (below) and i need to know all the stuff needed to make it and what kind of lights to use for both flowering and vegging. It has no bottom as u can see but i can build a bottom for it. I need all the information on how to build it from scratch. The inside is about 19.5 inches tall, 14 inches deep and about 19.75 inches wide. Would this work, and if so would i be able to flower in here too??? Please help want to build it and start growing soon.

Are you growing bag seeds or did you order lowriders from a bank? Lighting can be done many ways but cfl bulbs would be my recommendation based on the size of the dresser, anything more could pose heat issues. with the cfl's I'd run a computer fan up top with 1 or 2 passive intakes at the base. Honestly though if possible i'd try to find something with a little more height to it.

hi m8 1st off u gotta think lights id go for cfl as mentiond by SimplySmoked i think u need to do sum reeserch first for good bud look info up lol any way ur gunna need bout 6-10 cfl lights depending howmeny plants u got going then u gunna need vents 1 in 1 out thirmo stat check ur temp dont wanna turn ur grow room in to a jacket potato oven do u now lol then qot sorta weeed u gunna grow u shud look at auto flowering dwarf plants im growing 3x mk1 lowriders atm and my space isnt much bigger than urs so i recomend recherch it a bit thengo 4 it

If you want cfl's i would say go with 3-6 of them like.
5700k spectrum mostly for veg
then 2700 or around there for flowering.
as for size if you get 6 get small like 35's you would be fine
or if you want maybe 1 or 2 100w big one and put along the edges more to get all plants light.
maybe put 1 daylight spectrum small one in the middle of the 2. thats how im thinkin of doin my lighting and im also doing it in a dresser. mine will be a little bit taller tho.

Thanks Mcgyver for the info. Also do you know anything about lst or something that would keep my plant short but wide i am only planning to grow one just as a test run.

well, first of you need to do some serious reseach, the internet is ok but it is full of myths and lies. for example if anyone tells you to line it with tin-foil; do not trust this person for advice!
if i were u i would defo invest in a new closet, the height of that wardrobe would only really kinda work if you were doin dwarf plants, and even then it would only leave a tiny margin for extra growth and space for lights, and considering your growing unknown bagseed, they could turn out to be lanky sativas and u wud quickly need somewhere else to grow! if you think about it, you want atleast overall 2 gallon pots for roots, and space above for lights, the plants are goin to hav to tiny! i would just find something else to grow in , freecycle is a good place for free furniture, check it out

lst is a good way to turn it into a bush, but its a little complex
i would say go to this article and use the topping method for 4 colas as it will keep it a little shorter. and produce more bud =)

I also agree with bobby,
my dresser im using is 56" tall and 2 ft wide 1 1/2 ft deep.
and i will be using 2 or 3 105 w cfls
for 6 plants. and mine will still be very short compared to what you would get in a closet or room.
heres what mine will look like except not a tube fixture
just cfls prolly. maybe a t5
