First shelf grow, seed connoisseur needed.

Hi everyone

I've grown a few times before (4 times to be specific) with a full hydro set up. 1 plant every time, 1st 7.5oz, 2nd 8oz, 3rd 9oz, 4th got raided 1/2 weeks before harvest but predicted 10oz. I started with a clone from someone else, apparently was Skunk #1, some very very very nice bud if I can blow my own trumpet haha.

I want to do a small scale grow more for educational purposes than anything (I'm not particularly bothered about yield) and could do with a little advice. I don't have much room to do it in so I'll be renovating a chest of drawers and hopefully training a medium plant horizontal - one of the things I need help with.

I also need some help choosing a strain. I would like to go with feminized for obvious reasons, also short/medium, indica and automatic are options I would like to include. Was thinking about a Hindu Kush Fem Auto or a White Dwarf Fem? Not sure if they are suitable.

So yeah, if someone would be high enough to offer me some advice on horizontal growing and picking a strain for my needs I'd be very grateful.

That super skunk looks nice, quite cheap as well compared to others. Wonder if it would be ok to grow horizontal?
