First plant, first grown tent.

Hey,

im planning on starting growing cannabis in my apartment. I will purchase:
  • 2' x 2' Grow Room 315W CMH Hydro Complete Grow Tent Package
I’m also aware I must buy seeds so if anyone knows a website other than nirvana that ships worldwide please present yourself!.

I will most likely put 2 pots in the tent, size suggestions? put 4 seeds in each pot that’s the plan. I hope I’m correct.

I’m also aware i must have a hydroponic system in which I’m still not an expert, but I’m looking at the deep water culture hydroponic bucket kit 6 gallon, 2 buckets in total in the tent.

here is where i get a bit lost; the tent is set i will first fill the bucket soil How much and deep? Buy required nutrition. How Ph level where is it? And water drainage are those pots built for a specific water drainage? Finally now where do I place the seeds how deep from surface?

could you please help me learn the process more?

questions:

- the air ventilation tube i just leave it hanging outside the window?
- Do I keep the ac running I live in a hot country.

- how strong will the smell be? 2 plants carbon filter what to expect?

I suggest either a soil grow, or drain-to-waste hydroponic in coco/perlite. More agile and forgiving than dwc in my opinion.

Nutes: go with General Hydro Flora, a 3-component nutrient. Add CaliMagic, a silica supplement and pH-down and that’s your consumables sorted.

Carbon filters are very effective. My CanFilter has been used for over a dozen grows and still has its mojo.

Start 4 plants and aim to keep the best looking one. That space is only really big enough for one plant. I would use a 25ltr pot. Dtw soil or coco for me too

So you would have one 6.5 gallon in the whole tent? How much yields should i average if i do that, i was projecting 20oz a yield to plants, And how many seeds will I have in that one bucket?

Thanks dear.

im taking your advice will likely grow with coco soil. Use all nutrients mentioned 3 of them along with mixing fish fertilizer with the coco.

Look up @curious2garden. She grows what I smoke using what I described. There is a wealth of good information in her postings.

Btw I am nibbling at that “dear” with a very small spoon. Cheers.

2 foot by 2 foot is small. That light will be good for the space .

Grow 4 in small pots and then choose the one you line the look of to bigger pot and chuck the others.

There are lots of benefits to having less plants.... 1)many plants from seed will all grow in different shapes so it's very hard to manage a canopy ( it's fine if they are cuttings)
2) plants compete with each other for light.

Other option would be a 2 phase grow...
1. Grow 4 small plants
2. In veg take a few cuttings from each
3. Flower all 4 early

See which ones you like and then use the cuttings for the next phase and grow out one big one.

If you do this you'll realise that the second phase is way easier to manage

Ur growing a tent.... Can ya grow me 1 plz il av a 240 240.
If u got a good carbon filter not a budget one uze rhino or mountain air. Then it will kill all smelly socks and pizza crust smells in the room too the room will get a neutral smell if ya get me.

Hang the pipe out the window? U wana advertise ya plants too? Dude hide that shit leave it in the room windo cranked dont hang it out on show.

Ac running yes if it goes above 27degree celcius keep it runnin. If lower then no just dont got over 28max and 20 night and dont have more than a 10degree shift

Strain dependant bro some will dank the street out others wont smell atall eg critical smells quite plain but an og or a cheese etc will be pungent.

I always use Attitude or Grizzy seedbanks in the UK as they will post to any country in the world.
Grizzly has discount codes on the home page for 10% off and gives decent free seeds.

Never managed to grow any seeds apart from LandRace in soil, they just fizzle out and die.
Jiffy pots 1cm deep for the seeds, then transplant into coco coir + 30% perlite once the seeds have broken surface.

I'm also in a hot country, if the room temp exceeds 32c you'll need to air-con hybrids.
My grow 'tv box' is sitting at 30.5c with the door open this afternoon, varies from 26c at night to 32c in the day.
Unless you're growing LandRace seeds which seem OK at 40c once they're a foot high.
The hybrids from seedbanks are very delicate, wrong soil, too hot and they're dead.grow-box.jpg

The lamp in your proposed kit will add a lot of heat to the tent, you'll need air-con in the day fer sure.
LED might be a better way to go.

Also... yield is more about light and space... not number of plants. I would expect about 7-9 oz of good weed in that space if you do really well.

I think I would go with option 1 grow 4 pots then pick the best but when do I decide how long?

This is really useful information bro you helped and cheered me thanks man it’s a but clearer now.

is keeping the AC always on at 27c a good idea. Summer is about to start here and it’s above 30c in the morning and around 27c t night, until probably September.

You'll do well between 25 and 27.

so guys I’m cutting costs a bit andstarting to order my stuff could you tell me if I’m missing something?:

- grow tent topolight 300w 2x2
- nutritions for the plant I’m thinking fish Fertilizer but how to incorporate into the hydroponics bucket?

- I still don’t understand if coco is a type of soil but I’ll get it soon:)

- i will buy deep water culture (dwc) hydroponics bucket Kit 5 Gallon, 6 inch and I understand it comes equipped with all it’s needs from amazon.

I live in Saudi Arabia Med high income neighborhood not crowded. I have my own apartment living by myself. I will set up the grow tent in an extra room locked from anyone but me I will claim the 2g i had are hook ups; we only have hash here.
Anyway am i being impulsive? Saudi is not what the media shows yet strict specially over drugs i was in jail for 2 days because of 2 joints.
do you think having a grow tent is risky? I made a pledge to never sell any of it because word of mouth start selling and making money DEA has eyes on you. I’m planning on personal use only.
Is it an impulsive decision? Will my neighbors smell weed odor, do you think i will have my door kicked in? Or am I being just paranoid now?
I would like to mention I have an anxiety disorder and been on benzos for 5 years straight now, planning to make medical marijuana my get away plan. Plus I’m also been diagnosed with bipolar psychosis and read articles that supports help treating psychosis, antipsychotics are killing me slowly.

Dude... if you do dwc you don't need coco. I think you need a lot more research on your grow method if you do this.

I wouldn't grow in Saudi personally.
