First LED Hydro Grow

Hey guys, this is my first grow cabinet, the grow area is only 4.5sqft but I have 11 plants going so I need really good lights.

I've been adding LEDs as we went along and now I'm at the following specs:

2x 90W LED UFOs about 20cm from the plants (Red/Blue)
3x 16W LED Grow Panels on the walls (Red/Blue/OJ)

I also have 2x 4W LED Strips on the way that are Red/Blue/OJ/White and I'm not sure where to put them... I was thinking beneath the canopy but I don't think those leaves are supposed to be getting too much light.

This is my first grow so I've been kinda experimenting with everything... Here's what it looks like a few weeks into veg, my plants are a few weeks apart so some are bigger some are smaller.

They look beautiful, but i have to ask.
Are you taking pictures with the flash and the doors open while its the plants night time?

Also have you thought about tilting the side panels to create more of an arc shape over the plants?
Also wondering if you read this too. In my research on LED, i found an interesting article about how LED is different from flouro and HID, in that LED's aren't to be put as close as possible to the plant. That they don't work the same way as the other two. That they should be kept at an optimum distance that is more like a foot and a half.

It's your first run, so i'm sure you are open to some slight experimentation. Not that raising the lights to 18" above the canopy is much of an experiment. Out of curiosity, how high are they from the canopy? Looks like you already keep them around a foot above the canopy.

will be intersting to see how well those led's flower your plants, heard so much controversy and bad comments on them so far. How much did you have to spent on the light panels?

Purple Rhino, do you happen to have that article that u fore mentioned? It would be an interesting read and is a little contrary to what i have heard. Im working on my mother right now and will be starting an led grow in the near future and it would be very beneficial to have info from a few sources. Thanks for helping out the first timers and Good Luck GriC i hope everything works out well for you man!!

Hey guys! It's been a while but here are pics from 1st week of flowering.

I keep the panels as close to the plants as possible as long as I get a full spectrum, but I'll do some research and see if it's a good idea to raise it 18" above. The left side of the canopy is way lower than the right side =[

Gonna install 2 CFLs and 2 LED Strips tonight. Going to have 9 light sources total.

Hello sir! I have not tried making an arc with the LEDs but that does sound like a great idea, I'm gonna have to figure out how to do that.

And no I only take pics during light time. I turn the LEDs off sometimes before I take shots. Never open the cabinet during night time though.
