Ok guys here's the deal, I originally started an indoor closet grow and wanted to have 4 plants in one closet. All was smooth til the girl said I can't have it anymore. Blah, blah, fight, fight she says I can veg indoors and then I have to take them outside. I live in the mid-west so summers coming up quick. I'm still looking for a spot that I can transplant them to so I have some time to prepare. I'm not an expert at indoors much less outdoors so I'd appreciate some help along the way. You gotta realize that I had my room setup and seeds germing before she told me to tear it down lol.

If you'd like to check out my closet grow its in my sig, but I will be posting everything here as well.

I will attach all the pics I have so far as to help guide you a little. They might be all jumbled up. I am going to leave out a few pics so if you want to see those just go to the grow in my sig, all they will be are pics of my supplies lol. The pics that are important are the ones of the plants and such.

So now I'll get into the details. Bear with me as I'm going to do alot of copy/pasting...

Now first things first I would like to list some items on my grow list so that you know what I'm working with. It's a fairly small list because I am on a budget.

Grow Space
3x3x6 Closet

Seeds
Bagseed like mentioned. The only difference is that they all might be different strains. This is because my buddy gave me his seed collection (60+) that are all unknown strains. I picked out the best looking ones and set them aside.

Lighting
10 - 14W 6500k CFL's @ approx 60LPW
8 - 23W 2700k CFL's @ approx 70LPW

Nutes
Jacks Classic All-Purpose Fertilizer
Jacks Classic Blossom Booster

Soil Mix
80% Scott's Premium Potting Soil
20% Perlite (about an inch of Perlite on the bottom of the pot for added drainage)

Containers
Jiffy Peats (for germination/seedling)
Solo Cups
4 - 1 Gallon Pots (for seedlings/sprouts)
4 - 3 Gallon Pots (for transplant)

Reflectors
Currently I have no reflectors because I couldn't afford enough, but I did coat the walls, ceiling, and floor with a reflective Mylar substitute (thanks Doe).

Ventilation
1 - 250CFM Booster Fan for exhaust
2-3 - PC Fans for Intake/Co2
1 - 16"(?) Fan for circulation

Odor Control
1 - Bucket of ONA with Soil Moist Crystals
AND/OR
1 - Bucket of Febreeze with Soil Moist Crystals

I believe that's all of it, if I missed anything just mention it or I'll realize it an post it later.

Day 1 (Germination) 4/17/2010

I planted 6 seeds into 6 Jiiffy Peat Pellets in hopes of accomplishing at least 2-3 sprouts. I watered with 8.5pH water that was adjusted to 7.0pH with White Distilled Vinegar. I then placed them under my T.V. stand away from direct sunlight.

Day 2 (Germination) 4/18/2010

Nothing new to report, just waiting for sprouts.

Day 3
- 4/19/2010

Still nothing new to report, just waiting on my babies to pop out the jiffy's.

I did take some advice and made 3 reflectors out of some cardboard and some leftover fire blankets I had. I'm going to the store either tonight or tomorrow to pick up some socket extenders since they wont fit without it. I'll take some pics when their installed (I love photography, and showing off my mad MacGyver skills!). Also I installed my exhaust fan and need to find some 12v adapters to attach to my PC fans, then I believe my room will be complete!

Day 6 - 4/22/2010

Well, it's now day 6 and I went in to check on the babies and noticed that one was standing straight up and the another one was still stuck under the soil a wee bit. I also cracked the others for shits and giggles and noticed that at least 2 more should be cracking. That would bring me to my ideal amount of 4 plants.

Day 9 - 4/25/2010

My girl decided I had to move my babies outside to grow. SO, I am now vegging INSIDE with my CFL's until either I find a nice place and time to transplant them outdoors (and when I know a bit more about it lol), or when I can determine the sex (cause I really don't wanna show up one day to a pollinated crop...). Anyways, on to the news.

So today is day 9 of "germination". I have a total of 4 confirmed sprouts, 3 with leaves and 1 struggling to shake its shell lol. I also have 2 that I can clearly see the taproots pushing through, so if they all live it will be a successful 100% germination using Jiffy Peat Pellets (which is awesome to me cause I really don't like the paper towel method lol).

Nothing too new to the setup, I turned on 3 of my 14w 6500k's a couple of days ago and put them on 18/6. I could add more but I'm not sure if I should yet (noob lol). Something I might add is that during the charades with my girl she unplugged my lights towards the end of my schedule so I'm not sure if that will affect anything but I thought I would mention it.

I did add some water to the pellets because they were drying up a tad bit. (no overwater that I'm aware of, just a little bit to absorb into the pellets)

Temps are steady around 74F and Humidity WAS at 30% so I placed a bowl of water into the room and is now at a steady 50%. (not too sure if humidity should be higher or not)
The temps WILL go up with more lights, somewhere around 90F with most the lights on. I have exhaust setup to counteract it so no problems there, I just don't want to harm my seedlings and figure 42w of 6500k all around them shouldn't hurt at all lol.

Ok, so a couple of questions this week:
1 - I'm still a little sketchy on when to transplant, I figure when all the seeds are sprouted it should be good so that leads me to new questions...
2 - When I transplant is it ok if I put 2 seedlings in one 3 gallon pot or should I put 1 in each and throw the extras in a 1 gallon pot? (I could buy new ones but I really don't wanna upset the lady lol, we've all seen how that goes ) I could just put the 4 best into the 3 Gals, then the runts into the 1's , hows that sound?
3 - FUCK, I was going to ask some more but I got distracted for a moment and lost my thought...

Day 9 - 4/25/2010 Later that night...

Hey guys, I was reading through and decided im just gonna grab some solo cups and transplant once the other 2 sprout.

Now I plugged in more lights for a total of Ten 14w 6500k (seven direct and 3 dangling) and Four 23w 2700k (2 and 2). So that brings me to a total of 140w of 6500k (98 direct and the rest not) and 92w of 2700k (46 direct and 46 not). By direct I mean actually pointing towards or giving it direct light or within a few inches,by indirect I mean the lights that are dangling around the room.

Now like I mentioned the temps are gonna rise so there's a 250CFM exhaust fan at the top of the closet, a small circulating fan (10"?, also blowing on the seedlings to stiifin up they're stems), and a bigger oscillating fan (20"?) blowing air into the room because I'm still looking around for some 12v adapters for my PC fans lol.

I hope that will hold them for now, I mean they're still just babies.

I've uploaded a couple pics to show the more lighting I added, my DIY reflectors and the reflectors I actually have on the fixture itself (Aluminum Tape). I also inserted the pic of my gimp plant lol. Yea idk whats wrong with it, it only has one cotyledon and its huge. I can see a very small one on the opposite side if that helps. Also its not "yellow" per say as much as its not a "Dark Green", its more like light light green lol.

So that's that. Any help, advice, comments or concerns are always welcomed. Any questions about ANYTHING will be answered. Sorry I kinda through this together quickly but I hope its accurate enough.

Hey unwanted, thanks for stopping by. The thing is that I have 4, 3 Gallon Pots and 4, 1 Gallon pots (I can get 2 more). I want to veg 6 plants and then transplant them into the ground. So for vegging should I put them into solos or into my big pots? And what do you mean I wont have time to sex?

well i dont know where you're from but most people plant by mid may... for vegging i would hit the one gals... if they are gonna be inside for more than 3 more weeks or so...

if you are going to try and gro some to finish in the larger buckets i would go ahead and put them in them and place outside if the weather promits... they will do better the fewer times they are transplanted and the less stress you put on them...

by sexing i mean switching the light to 12 12 to spot males and females... i am not sure if you can do this? it saves alot of time though...

Well, i'm in the midwest, so its still a little chilly here. Plus idk much about outdoor grows lol. I just started researching it cause the plan was to just harvest indoors lol. I wanted to just plant them in the ground, but i think i'll keep my large pots and plant them in their, might save a lot of problems (bugs and such). plus, i'm not even sure when i'm supposed to move them outside, the daylight checker i used said i wont get 12 hours of darkness til sept 22, is that right? cause if so it'll be colllld as hell round here lol, or at least start to get chilly.

So anyway, It's Day 11 now, yesterday I transplanted my babies into 6 solo cups. 5 plants have fully come out of the ground and one is pushing its way through but under the soil that I put on top of it. Some look a little droopy and I'm wondering if this is norml or if its due to over/under watering, any info will be appreciated. Still having a little troubles with my humidity level (its at a steady 25-30%) and can't figure out how to raise it. I put a 5 Gallon bucket into the closet filled with water and have a fan blownig on it. I have a humidifier but I have to try and talk my girl into letting me put it in their lol.

I'll post pics later when my Internets not being shitty lol

Hey all, its been awhile since I've updqted this thread but the plants are still growing in my closet. You can check it out through my sig, but I plan on moving outside this weekend hopefully.

A quick update is they're all in veg state (1 is about 3 weeks in veg and the other 4 are about 2). The oldest has been lst'd for about 2 weeks and the others I just tied down for the first time today. Ill get pics up asap but I'm having pc issues (screens broke).

I'm getting ready to transplant outside (I'm keeping them in 3gal pots) but I have a few questions. The one I really need help with is when to do it. By that I mean should I do it during lights off or lights on? Also what kind of light stress would I be looking at switching from 18/6 to around 13/11?

As always any help would be greatly appreciated.
