First Indoor Grow Room Setup

Hey everyone I want to start off by saying thanks to everyone who has helped me up to this point.

Anyways I live in an apartment complex and have a pretty decent size walk in closet that measures out to 5 ft(Width) x 9 ft(Length) x 8 ft(Height).

I want to create a perpetual grow system so I was thinking of separating the space into 3 mini rooms.

The veg room would be built on top of the closet shelf being about 1 ft x 6 ft x 3 ft and would be running florescent lights above them.

The flower room would be around 5 ft x 6 ft x 8 ft running 600 w HPS.

The mother room would be 5 ft x 3 ft x 8 ft and would be running either a 250 W MPH or florescent lights.

I have a couple questions concerning this model.

1. Is that amount of lighting something to worry about? Should I go without the 250W MPH over the mother?

2. How many plants would I have to expect to grow to achieve half pound a month?

Any other advice would be very appreciated.

I'm starting to set up a grow room myself. I like your idea of splitting it into 3 small rooms. I take it that its 8ft tall, think about building a shelf like system? Double your yield .
You could use painters tarp and some pvc or wood to make separation walls.
I would also run some kind of piping from an air vent into the closet to cool things down.

Are you going to start a journal?

I am not sure yet whether I will start a journal or not. I am in the midst of buying products right now. It wont be for a few more weeks until things begin...we'll see.

I would appreciate input on how to vent the closet to eliminate the odor threat. Thanks in advance.

Make sure your can supply good ventilation, an intake fan to draw freash air in at the bottom of the growroom.An outlet fan with a carbon filter at the top of the growroom, to eliminate odours and to keep high temparatures at bay. there are temparature control units avalable on the market that regulate both fans to keep things running smoothly. highly recommended! why not combine the mother's room w/ the veg room?
