Hey everyone. I wanted to first start off by saying how wonderful and informational this forum is, absolutly the best on the web! I have decided to start growing hydroponic weed in my closet. I have spent the last five days researching and learning as much as I can before I begin to grow. I am close to buying my supplies and wanted to run it buy some experianced growers. I am mainly trying to grow just a single plant until I am comfortable with my knowladge base before
growing no more the 4 plants at a time.

as for grow room specs. A closent 2.5" x 3".

The hydroponic setup iv choosen thus far can be found in this link called the "bucketeer" http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=93&xSec=53

also what I'm most worried about is lighting.. The closet will be covered Kwith Mylar and a 6" duct connected to a fan to allow freash air in the closet.
As for lighting I plan on using floresent lighting not sure wattages and lumens out put (help!) for the first stage.. One the first 2 sets of leaves appear I will switch the light with a 150w hps light wich I will continue to use threw flowering. ( this ok??) a link to the light I plan on buying is below.

Will this light be efficient? If y'all have any input I'm all ears I'm here to learn and to share my grow and experiance with you.

Thanks in advance..

The bucket system looks good, I am sure you will find little tweaks in time to optimize your systems efficiency. The system seems reasonable $ too. It is smart to start small. If you can you may want to throw another plant in there. Sometimes plants of the same strain can grow different, I usually have 24-30 in a couple rooms, when things get off (ph or whatever) some of the plants will be affected and some wont. Your 150 hps in the end will support two, if you dont veg too long. And you have enough space for at least two.

Good job doing your homework. 5 days is a good starting point. The rest will come in time, diagnosing one thing to another and watching for the things you have learned and heard.

On the right is a list of everything that comes with the kit. "pump, bubble pad, and tubing.. The picture looks as if the water is pumped from the bottom and is cycled up threw mid level whare the medium is. Am I correct? What is a mister? And is better to water the plant from about the medium?

Upon closer examination...

I dont see a pump, or misters, or drip lines, or anything how does the plant get water?
The bucket is full of water and the roots sit in it. DWC doesn't need drippers or misters. The action of the bubbles in the bucket keeps the roots moist.

Anyways, that bucket is a total ripoff. You can build several of those yourself for less than what they are charging for one.

The light is a good choice but its not enough for 4 plants. I'd step up to a 250w if you plan on growing 4 plants out fully.

Oooohhh I see. Seems like a drip system may be a little more simple. I'll continue to search for plans of home fabraction systems. Thanks for your honesty.
