first time grower here. giving it a go.

Royal Queen's Power Flower, freebie from Herbies. Messed up on my main buy (Wonder Woman)... anywho.

day21 from seed. veg phase. first feed of nutrients (1/4 of Jack's BB) was last week, day16 from seed.
about 6-7" height, 6-7" diameter. three CFL 23w 5000k 1600L bulbs, about 4-5 inches away.
two on the side, one top, 18/6 cycle from the start.

the only pic i have from today, before i just gave it some water.

leaves do look a bit droopy, because i over watered after transplant, awhile back. (5gal pot)

growing in FFOF. nutrients are Jack's BB (veg) and AP (flower).

any tips/advice? and when should i begin the flower phase?

thanks in advance

@cdd, thanks. what are you currently growing now?

@DrJohn, 50% of what i want, then move onto the flower phase? i'm trying to aim for around 10-12 inches.

@Barn, thanks.

I personally grew mine to about 28 inches on them. They are now at 50 inches tall on Day 18 since the 12/12 flip. Just starting to really pop flowers as well.

i know each strain is different, but how long did it take for yours to be around 28 inches before the 12/12 switch?

I planted the seeds in rockwool Nov. 17th and they sprouted about 10 days later and veg'ed until Feb. 1. I topped mine plants a lot as well, so that delayed some time.

I'm growing 3 indica heavy hybrids and 2 sativa heavy hybrids, to my surprise I have a supposed indica hybrid that is now the tallest plant I have at a bit over 5 ft. But first grow and now I know to have better control next grow on canopy height/control with training.

didn't know you can veg for that long. i'll probably end up switching once its been 4 weeks

I notice a slight clawing of fan leaves which suggests too much N.
Should you be feeding yet in FFOF as i think it has enough nutes in it to last your plant about 3 weeks.
This would explain the droopy leaves,as she should have gotten over the overwatering you gave a while ago.
Good luck with your grow ghost.

those were from a failed LST of scotch tape, hahah.. twice (far left leaf and top one). sprung back up, so i just left it alone.

might of been a mistake to give it more nutes, notice a tiny bit of yellowing on a few leaves.

thanks.

The clawing is on the top two fans.See how the tips are curling like claws, thats known as clawing
and is a sign of N toxicity. Also darker green than normal (imo)and droopy leaves are signs of overfeeding.

ahh okay. didn't know FFOF would hold 3 weeks worth of nutes.. used BB too early on that.

thanks for the info

Check the bag your FFOF came in,its always handy to know whats in your soil.
And youre welcome,GL.

You can lower your height and increase your yield with LST. Otherwise, with only 10" clearance, you won't get much veg time at all. Probably want to put it in flower soon, even.

no additional fert for up to 30 days, thought i had read that part, guess not.

RQ's Power Flower can grow up to max 1.5m (4.9')..mainly 1m (3.2')
so i might end up LST (again)..

topped her a total of 9 times within the last few days.. no droopy leaves anymore btw.
