First Grow

Hey Everyone

Just wanted to post some pics on my first grow and get some comments, ill tell you a little about the grow

the plant is very small as i just through a seed in a pot and left it outdoors to do its thing and wanted to see if i could surprise myself with some bud, the strain is a cheese x widow (as i was told)
i kept the plant in a very small pot as it started flowering unexpectedly and i did not want to give the plant any stress during flowering, but as i said the plant is very small and seems to be perfect in that size pot.

i have been feeding her with some nutrients and she is looking very healthy as its nearing harvest time. ill be flushing her soon as i have planned to harvest in about 2 weeks.

a question if you wouldn't mind helping me out, because of it been a really small plant, will the flowering period be shorter? it started showing first signs of flowering at the beginning of August.

Im really happy with the outcome, but just wish it had grown a little bigger before flowering.

Flowering is strain dependent overall. Hours and environment can affect it but not predictably. Those smaller buds below the top will fill out well. I think she may need more than 2 weeks so check out lots of pics of others. Do you have a microscope to check trichomes? If not they run about $15. Get a 40X and NO stronger. Trust me. Make sure it is illuminated.

She has not had enough light. She needs a lot of light and more than 2 weeks. You MUST check your trichomes or risk harvesting shit.

thats going to be like 10 grams man, you should use a bigger pot next time which means more soil=more roots=bigger buds, but if this was a freebie, then 10 grams is better than nothing

Flowering doesn't get affected by the size of the plant other than some of the lower buds might not be ready when the main colas are if you don't trim them

I don't hav a microscope, will try make a plan to get one, I was saying 2 weeks because of all the orange trichromes already! Im hoping the bottom buds fill out soon.

Do you think trimming all the fan leaves even the ones on the top and givin the buds all the sun will help this or do the fan leaves need to b there, you will see I hav already trimmed the lower leaves to give the bottom buds some more lights.

with out a doubt I'll use bigger pots next time, you learn from your mistakes I guess.

I'd leave leaves alone..

yeah buds photosynthesize like you and i do, so barely at all, leave the fan leaves on because the are the flowering plants main source of photosynthesis

Nothing wrong with little plants, my first grow had small plants. My avatar is as big as they ever got!

Hey everyone

Just wanted to post some recent pics of my plant, im not sure how far it has to go still, the bottom buds are filling out nicely, i have been giving her some extra light under some CFL's.

please could someone help me out and let me know how much longer you think it has to go and whether i should flush and stop nutrients.

i still dont have a microscope so cant check the trichomes

If you can take her outside for photo opportunities, why not give her as much sunshine as you can...she'll love it! And she'll finish betterer...

(Edit) Nearly there! Another week But what do I know? I've been thinking "ready tomorrow" for the last two weeks with my grow! lol!

Thank you for the help man, just feels so much better 2 get others oppinions, i take her outside everytime there is sun, we have had alot of overcast days here thats why i put her unda cfls, ok if you say one more week then i guess i must flush and stop nutrients, i fed her i half does of nutes this morning, should this be my last?

Cant wait to roll the main top bud in a J and toke something i have grown!!

Play the flushing as you go. Normally you'd have some leaves to watch fade as she eats up leaf energy in flushing! lol! But yeh, stop feeding and flush.

Yeh man, that's what it's all about! Skinning up that first spliff, that has f%$k all to do with anyone but you and mother nature.

A good time to choose/plant your next seeds, with that joint in your mouth...
