First grow!

Hello, I am doing my first grow. I have already got my drawers hollowed out and the fans installed (Cut hole and taped on ). And today my 2700k 125watt cfl light came! with the plug thingy as well!

It feels great to have the light, Thats taken so much off my chest for this. Now ,i just need to know what's left. I know I need:

-Seed
-soil
-plant pot
-build a carbon filter
-water ph tester kit

So, I know I need al lthis, once I have it all, am I ready to grow? Or will I need something else as well? Also, will I need more than 1 autoflowering seed to make sure I get at least 1 plant? OR should I just order 1 autoflowering seed and I should be fine? (Bare in mind, i have next to no cash). And if I get the correct soil, wwill i not need to worry about nutes?

can't help too much, as i'm still gearing up for my first grow too, but i'm subbed up to sponge up some info

i'm kind of in the same boat with the cash situation, and i know if you don't have it, you don't have it, but you're gonna be spending $25 to ship a $10 seed. if you can afford to order a few more, the price per seed drops significantly, and you get more freebies thrown in. try to double up the UFO freebies with other promotions to really maximise your dollar. if you haven't already, check out their lucky 7 promotion.

otherwise, check out single seed centre. they have a little better shipping and in a lot of cases, better prices on the single seeds themselves. i haven't personally ordered from them but i've heard good things. i've ordered from attitude twice and had great results both times.

Building a carbon filter is more trouble than it's worth. i'm very satisfied with the 6'' filter from Led Wholesalers on Amazon. With shipping it was around $75. I tried making one for a grow tote and it sucked compared to the actual filter.

Growing is a black hole of expenses. You'll need more things than you'll imagine. You can half ass it but you're only wasting time and money. Buying one seed is going to automatically be an extra $14 for shipping. Two isn't even enough IMO for an auto. Nor is one CFL.
