ive got my stealth (bass amp) box just about ready. my seeds will be germinating in the next few hours. can i put them in small rockwool cubes for sprouting, then transfer to soil?? that seems like the easiest way to go in my mind. but this is my first time, so i have no idea.

also, will 4 42watt CFLs be enough for a one, maybe 2 small plant sized box?

also, any help on easy nutrients for beginners would be great too.
nothing too complicated on this. i get really confused by everyones nute speak.
i just dont understand it at all.

any help very apprecitated.

Sounds like you have plenty of light. The only thing I want to mention, is that they will take off just as well, in soil, as the rockwool. Also, you won't have to screw around transplanting them. The trick to making sure they all sprout, is to make sure the soil is good and wet, all the way to the bottom of the pot, and most importantly, don't bury them too deep. They only need to be JUST BELOW the surface, like 1/8-1/4". Also, it helps to use tweezers or something, to place them with the taproot facing downwards. That's not critical, it just speeds things up a little. They will sprout either way. The rockwool will work, too. Just don't bury them too deep, like the soil. :)

yeah, it is pretty badass lookin, being that on the outside it looks like a fender bass amp, but inside looks like a mini-grow factory!
for my first time, im pretty impressed with myself! now to see if i can actually grow some plants!!! decided not to go with rockwool strictly cuz i cant seem to find any and my local lowes or home depot. ill just go with soil. do i add perl & nutes now or in the next pot?

^Add about 20% perlite, and keep using the perlite, from now on. Drainage is very important, always. Skip the nutes for awhile, because trust me, they don't speed anything up, til the plants are hungry. It'll be at least two weeks before you have to worry about that, so for now, concentrate on getting them sprouted and healthy. :)
