first grow - WW - few questions

This is my first attempt, so I started with white widow seeds as they seem to be most forgiving. They've been in veg stage for about 1.5 weeks now, and I have some wierd issues. I've been lurking these forums for the past month, as well as investing in some books, but I still wanted to ask for some advice before i do something stupid ;) See pictures below.

My setup:

- 3 WW feminized seeds
- 3 50W CFLs for first week, and now I switched to 400 MH (this is when my issues started getting worse). Will flower under 400 HPS. also have 3 CFLs for additional light if needed.
- MG potting soil (oh how I regret this). It started at roughly 7.3 PH, and I was able to get it down to 6.7 or so couple days ago. I will check the run off next time I water to make sure.
- 20-20-20 peter's nutes for veg (will slowly start adding them 3rd week of veg)
- Temps are unfortunatly have been 80-82 for the last week. Will hopefully get it down to 76-78 once my new reflector comes in. (didn't realize how much heat 400 MH was going to produce!)
- Humidity is at 50%

Questions:
1) 2 of my girls have wierd spots on leaves. (see pics) They had it since the beginning, and new growth also shows similar signs. 3rd plant is completely fine. I thought this was ph related, but after lowering it slightly I haven't seen any improvements. Any ideas? Is this just wierd genetics and I should ignore?

2) Leaf edges on all 3 plants are starting to curl up. It seems like it's due to heat stress; can anyone confirm?

3) I wanted to invest into better soil and perhaps get larger containers. My plan is to start flowering in a week or so - I don't want them to get very big, since I only have 400W light. Is it too late at this point or can I still do it without causing too much stress?

4) Does anyone have personal experience with WW and their response to topping/LST ? I'm eager to try Uncle Ben's topping method, but I don't want them to become even more bushy...again.. the concern is that then 400W light won't be enough for 3 huge plants.

Looks like transpiring. Leafs are trying to cool down and get rid of excess moisture. You should be fine just pull back on watering till the soil is dry 1 inch down. Plants look good I wouldn't flower for a couple more weeks though. Till you get 6-7 nodes. But good progress. Good luck
