First grow, ultra micro!!!

So as i said before this is my first grow ever and although it is small I have embraced the limitations and challenges it will present and am going to strive to grow this bud as well as i possibly can. For starters here is some stats

Strain: Fem OG kush
Soil:Well Drained Citrus palm and cactus MG soil
Light: CFL 2700k (upgrading soon!!)
Nutes: plan for tiger bloom soon or something of the like
Techniques: ScrOGing and im assuming I will need to manicure this lovely lady 3-4 times a week later on to keep her off the lights

The soil is far from ideal but it was what i had on hand, ultimately I decided that if I can make this work I will probably do a tricked out full size pc rig next.

Heres some picturesIMAG0041.jpgIMAG0086.jpgIMAG0087.jpgIMAG0088.jpgIMAG0090.jpg

Planning on making a new screen from string and putting it at the plants level right now
The thought behind this would be to get a few small (.5-1g) "colas"
Id appreciate any feedback:peace:

Ok so this morning I went out and got a new light up to 40 watts from 23 so nearly doubled the power and I made a new screen. unfortunately my camera phone will not take any pictures so once I can figure that out I wil post some more

*edit

Remember with cfl's you need them to be 2-3 inches from the plant for maximum growth, if they're too far away they aren't powerful enough to be sufficient.

I'm subbed up to this n along for the ride. Love the budget pc grows. Good luck with the scrog dude. That was my initial idea but ended up lst instead. Intrigued to see what can be done.

Glad yall are interested :D
So the new pics are up and this is what I think the final pc rig will be, and I know the light should be closer for now but (its hard to get it right where I wanted it due to me using a wire hanger and some decorative pipe cleaner to mount it haha) I will need to move it up in a few weeks regardless so im saving myself some work by starting in this position. And as far as the pot goes I actually custom made that out of a large tupperware box and held it together with rubber bands. Anywho thanks again for watching im sure i will have some questions a long the way so I will be trying to update pictures at least two or three times a week.

Looking real nice so far.

Paint that pot though, you do not want your roots to get light exposure.

Sub'd for the ride.

Cheers

I considered the light exposure problem but with just one light and the edges of the pot practically against the sides is this going to be a problem?

Havent gotten around to light proofing the container yet, thats next up. Around week 3 or 4 I am planning on starting to use Earthjuice bloom nutrients in small doses. My logic behind this comes from another thread I read where someone had clones that went through a grow with everything constant except nutrients. After this study the earthjuice grown bud rated highest on smell, resin, taste, and high. Since my box limits the size I wont need to worry about growing anything huge and my thought behind this is to get better bud out of the limited yield.

Anyways has anyone used EarthJuice before and have any comments?

Everytthingg looks like its going good. I to would like to know how u areexpected to flower since youdid so from seed. Or is this a clone?

This was from seed and before I built the box it spent 2 weeks vegging then i transplanted it and began flowering immediately which was a week ago now.

Also the box has taken its final form, I added another 80 mm fan coming from the light side thats running at 9V so it is helping the circulation dramatically. Hoping this will stimulate the growth which has been relatively slow thus far, unfortunately this is probably due to it being OG kush so itll be slow but potent!!

Ive also duct taped the grow pot to prevent light damage on the roots. 2 weeks or so I will start using earthjuice bloom in very small amounts, and I may also do some foliar feeding to try and increase bud density. Ive read that CFL potential yield is .75 gpw, I have 40 Watts in that box and I think if I do everything right I can get .35-.5 gpw considering the size limitations which would yield me approx 16-20g.

Any comments/criticisms are appreciated, also im still wondering if anyone has used earthjuice personally before?

Ok so here's a picture update, so far so good it seems. I did kind of an artificial topping of the plant by putting the screen right between the two leaves of the 7th node. Will see how this works, btw this is flowering day 9!

Another update, I'm already in the process of building a full size pc rig and i ordered some auto purple kush to grow in it. I have a feeling pc boxes and autoflowering plants are a match made in heaven so I'm gonna see what I can do with it

OK so another update, training with the screen is going well so far. I have the main head of the plant tucked lower than the node below it and the leaf closest to the light sprouted 2 more tiny leaves at the base (look at leaf on the middle left of the first picture), does this mean that this is trying to become a new main growth stem now?

Also been noticing the last couple days the first sign of bud is showing up, there are little pistils with small green protrusions coming out between them :D

Heres some pics!20131117_201847.jpg20131117_201931.jpg20131117_201950.jpg

One more quick note, after more research I decided that I will be pinching the main stem to soften but not break a 2 or so times a week. My thinking here is to effectively "supercrop" the entire plant by hopefully stimulating stem diameter growth, thus ending up with bigger nuggage in the end. I started around flower day 8 I think and the stem thickness has been increasing a notable amount since then.
