hi

just starting my first grow the plants i have are:

2x skunk#1 (seedsman)
2x mango (KC Brains)
2x thai haze x skunk (freebie)
1x KC 33 (KC Brains)

the skunk#1 and mango were both germinated before planting and thai haze and kc33 were planted straight from the bag.

the skunk#1 germinated 1st so was planted on the 30th dec 2007 all the rest were planted on the 1st jan 2008.

for veg i have the plants under a 125w blue envirolite, for flower i am using a 600w HPS

at the minute the plants are about an inch from the envirolite these lites are very good and hardly let of any heat so r ok to have this close.

anyway today the skunk#1 have come out of the medium so i am well on the way to my first grow you don't know how happy i am.

heres some pictures from this morning both of these r skunk#1 i will go and get more now just to see whats happened

Envirolite is CFL lighting, yes?

I'm surprised nobody has suggested you get more than 125W for 7 plants. Heck, in my opinion 125W is not enough for 1 plant.

have you seen an envirolite they are 5 times bigger than the cfl lights they r using on here anyway i think there are too many plants and am not planing on them all lasting as this is my first attempt at growing anything

i have read up about these lights and theres definitely enough light for a bit i will get more and am planning on putting them under a 600w when they are about 8" and vegging them under that till about 12"-15" and then putting them on 12/12

Yeah, I've seen 'em... I have one. :) Mine is just not called an Envirolite... same deal, a freekin huge 125W CFL light. I have that plus 4 42W bulbs for only 2 plants and that's still not enough light in my opinion... but it works.

I would seriously get some more light on them before 8"... they gonna stretch and stretching sucks ass.

Your call, your grow. :)

Avoiding stretching before it happens sounds kinda like the smart thing to do to me lol. Good luck. I'll be keeping up with your grow.

It's your first grow, how sure can you possibly be?

Anyhow, good luck.
