first grow room

ok so i set up a 5x5 grow tent and im using a 1000w hps/mh light. i have a air cooled hood. i have to light as close to the roof as possibe. the tent is 6'5''. do i need to lower the light to start then raise it up or can i just leave it where it is at for the hole grow? its a pain to lower in then tent!! thanks!

Well how close are the plants to the light when you flower? If the plants are further than 3ft you probably should lower the light, you wont regret it when results are in. A good distance is 2.5ft from that powerful of a bulb.

you can put something under the plants to rise them up.....
