First Grow - Mother Plant

Ill start with my back story, if you dont mind.

I started smoking marijuana only 3 months ago, today it is my passion. I used to look at the cannabis culture as a bunch of immature, idiotic, dead beats, who either couldnt grow up or couldn't step out of the 70's. Today, marijuana and the people who smoke it are much more than that. Marijuana has changed the course of my life, for the better. I feel now that while I was opposed to smoking weed (no more than 5 months ago) I was a pawn persuaded by people in power to look at cannabis as a scar on society. Today I feel like a veil has been lifted and I can see the true identity of Marijuana, the one all of us here know and love.

With this grow I hope to further develop my love for herb. I hope it all turns out well, and I hope i can keep growing for many years.

down to business...

First off I am growing my mother plant from a clone, im not 100% sure what strain it is but I think I was told mango/white widow (Ill check back after I know for sure). I plan to grow it in my closet during fall/winter then take clones from it to grow outdoors.

I started the first clone with little knowledge and it ended up drying up in the sun. The second clone has rooted but as you can see there was some damage to the larger leaves from not being in a dome, and too much sunlight. Just today I realized that it was basically sitting in mud so I cut holes in the bottom to drain, now the roots can start a support system. I am going to keep it growing in sunlight until the hours are too few, then I will transport it to my closet. Once the closet is setup I will post pictures.

Any tips, advice, guidance is very much welcomed.

This clone didnt work out but i started a successful one which has grown to be my mother plant. I currently cannot clone it, any advice is welcome. I have also started a seedling from a seed i found in a bag of dank spice i got.
