First Grow - Most Efficient Method in My Finished 4'x2'x6'' Cab?

Hello all, long time lurker here starting my first grow. I have a 4'x2'x6' cab set up with ventilation, a Can 33, and 400w HPS/MH conversion light all inline. I can fit eight 3gal pots in the bottom of the cab with .5" or less to spare on either side of the pots. My original plan was to germ 20ish seeds in solo cups, cover the lowest node at 8" growth to sex them early, and choose 8 strong females for the 3gal pots. The problem I'm foreseeing is too much crowding with 8 plants in such a small space. Could anyone recommend a more efficient soil-based method in such a small space? I'm wondering if just a couple plants supercropped and LST'd could possibly yield more? Maybe I should look into SCROG? Even if anyone has advice on growing the full 8 plants in a crowded space that would be extremely helpful too. I'm very grateful for any advice from all you experienced growers out there!

My guess is that when the plants get growing, You will run out of light and space if you go with 8 pots. You will probably need alternate lighting in the corners or under the plants. Good luck though, Post pics when they get bushy.
