As you can see this is a top drip system on a 4x4 table, recirculating, continual drip, no drippers, more of a nft. I have 16 sites vegging under a 1000 watter which will be split into 2 & end up with 8 sites each on 2 4x4 tables, 2 1000 watters & exhausted to keep temps down in a 6x12 space. As far as nutes I am using GH Maxi series powder & Botanicare Cns17 line up.
mixed up 300 ppms of cns grow in 10 gallons of r/o water, then upped it with the maxi grow to 600 ppms. added 1 or 2 tablespoons of karma & 2 scoops of great white & topped out the res with plain ol tap. my tap water is in the 180-200 ppms range. so after all the mixing i ended up a little over 500ppms & in the 5.4-5.5 range
week 2
with all the rain thats been going on i collected it for my res change. the rain water started 13-14 ppms & 6.1-6.2 ph. so i added in equal amounts of cns grow & maxi grow. added a tbs of karma & 1 scoop of great white. i hear mixed reviews on adding beneficials into hydro. after a week i kept the ppms about 500 & the ph is 5.7.
its time for an update.. first, i had the correct the date on the digital camera. im 3 weeks in, the date on the camera was 19 days off. second, i had to pick up some cal/mag today. i noticed rust spotting. so after a res change the ppms are 800-820ish & ppms 5.5-5.8. plenty of new growth, but notice in the pics i also have 3 or 4 with stunted shriveling runts. check it out & any suggestions or feedback? im thinking it may be related to the cal/mag issue i had & hopefully over now
2 weeks into vegging & i topped them already & pruned them back a little. getting too bushy & about to split them up on the 2 tables. let me know what you think when i get the pics up..
after noticing cal/mag i switched to tap water last res change. my tap water ranges from 180-200 ppms & 7.5-7.7 ph levels. i was using r/o &/or rain water. i picked up some cal/mag & added a tablespoon to the new res to try & keep the rust spotting in check. in a couple of days im going to split the table of 16 sites into 2 tables & 8 sites per table. i can hardly wait to start flowering & see which of these strains works best for me.
it hasnt been a week since going back to tap water & already the plants are responding better. so much new growth & no more rust spotting. back to the plan of splitting the 16 sites between the 2 tables like i wanted & to post up some new pics to show how they look now. i measured height for shits & giggles & they average 12-14 inches. i can tell you that the bubba likes the set up well
i started this grow on dec 18th. tuesday will be a month veg time but its only been a total of 4 weeks. i am already thinking of flowering & i wanted to flip it 12/12 on tuesday when i change the res.
so i changed out the res & rinsed off the tables with a transition mix of nutrients. after setting things with half grow & half bloom, ppms are 925ish & ph 5.7. lights are now at a 12/12
transition week is over & the plants stretched 8-10 inches. nutrients are now a bloom & flower mix. cns bloom ratio 2-2-5 & maxi bloom is 5-15-14, 1025 ppms & 5.8-6.0 ph.. i am also adding a tbs of snow storm ultra.
week 2 of flowering. ppms about 1150-1200 & ph of 5.7-6.0. boosters & additives include snow storm ultra, cal-mag, hygrozyme, silica blast, & hydroplex. i added enzymes to my top drip after noticing a slight root rot in a dwc. also, started adding silica blast simply because i wanted to help stabilize the ph. i will figure if i keep using it or not after a few weeks using it
