Hi,
I just harvested a few autoflower plants, dried for about 4 days and soon will start curing. After drying there is a brownish/golden hue around some of the bud bottoms, especially some of the calyx's at the base. It was outdoor and a bit dusty so I did Doc's bud wash and screen dried in small nuggys in a 70 degrees dehumidified room. One of the strains seems more prone to the browning, as it was lighter color. They smell fine and early vape tests on dried material taste fine (for uncured herbs at least). Overall I am stoked but a little surprised at the level of brownage.
To what extent does this look normal chlorophyll reduction, or a sign of bigger problems with subtle mold, bad drying, etc? I know it is quite strain dependent (indicas here, grown to breeder schedule at about 75 days) and many other factors are involved. Much thanks.
