First grow help

Alright I got a 400 w HPS hood reflector and the thing is hot! Temps are reading 105 with no fans, and about 90 when I turn two fans full blast. I'm in small closet with no access to a/c or fresh air. How do I my babies down?

Also, im mixed up with watering still. seeds have not sprouted how should i be watering them? when they do, then how do i maintain it as far as watering goes?

aww thats sad...you likely have dried your seeds out before they could sprout......my advice is dont use a 400 through veg grab a couple compact flouros and you fix your heat problem for now at least, you also fix your seedling problem because those hot temps likely dried ur soil out and you need a seedling to be straight wet until its oh say 2 inches then you start a normal watering schedule where you allow the soil to dry mostly before watering again

Does the ceiling lead to an attic?
Germination medium should be warm and moist.Oversaturation will choke seed.
I would use floros till you solve your heat problem.

^^ this is a good question as you will have heat issues in flowering a can fan in the ceiling of the closet will disperse alot of heat...and ya you dont want it swimming but completely wet drained dirt is fine and much better than letting it dry out..if it dries out at that early stage its game over

u need an hv inline fan for exhaust I had the same prob in my tent went with a bigger fan to exhaust the hot air I agree with these guys try fluro's perfect for veg
