First grow - filter location

Hi everybody,
I just set up my first grow room and was not sure about filter so I was wondering if you had some input in regards to my filter location. Currently it is on the ground standing up as it feels too heavy to hang (as it is a tent) so I was wondering if you think it will affect the it's suction power. Thanks for the input.

id say your def losing some power with all that ducting. ive never used a tent but im sure theyre strong enough to hold a filter up

In my little experience I have found that hanging the filter works the best. Two reasons, it sucks up hot air (hot air rises) and as it sucks it creates the negative pressure and if you put your intake holes at the bottom it will actually pull fresh air across your plants. So up high in my opinion.

Since you are in tent, if you feel okay with with doing this you can take a 2x4 that is as long or longer than you tent, drill some holes into it, place it on top of the tent, heres the bad part cut matching holes into the top of the tent, and hang the filter from that 2x4. You can run chain up the through the holes rope what ever you want. After you have the holes cut in the wood and tent hang the filter and then seal the holes around the chain/rope with silicon sealer.
