First grow ever, ww auto + auto amnesia

Yo guys! First grow ever & my specs are as follows:

Ds90 grow tent 90x90x170cm
Lumatek 400w hps dimmable ballast & dual spec bulb (currently on 250w)
4" inline fan & phresh filter (being extracted into loft space)
Clip on fan & got 12 desktop for later.
Biobizz light mix & all biobizz nutes (grow, bloom & topmax)

So, I'm on day 26 from seed. Got 5 dinafem white widow auto & threw in the free amnesia auto (wos) I got from the 'tude. Everything going good, 1 ww is much more sativa looking than the rest! It has just starting to flower, the rest are still in pre flower. I have only gave them one light feeding of grow nutes so far as they haven't looked like they needed it. The amnesia got slight yellow tips afterwards which I take is nute burn, so only been giving it plain ph'd water since. Here's a few pics. The sativa pheno is in the back right corner.

I'm off to amsterdam in 9 weeks time, so I'm hoping they are all ready! I think they will be. That's it for now. Will post back with progress soon!



Edit: Temps 26/28C, humidity 55%. Passive intake. Got speed controller for the inline fan.

I have noticed a few of the fan leaves at the very bottom turning a yellow colour. Because I haven't put quite enough soil in the pots (doesn't quite go to the top, noob mistake) I am splashing the bottom leaves when feeding. Does any1 think this is the cause as all other leaves look healthy?

Old leaves will die off naturally. ESPECIALLY if they don't get any light. Nothing to worry about

Thanks man! Yeah they are getting next to no light! Was thinking it could be nitrogen deficiency. Also this may sound stupid to some of you, but I'm looking at my feeding chart and it looks as tho in flower they get grow bloom & topmax. Is this right? I assumed when bloom nutes start, the grow nutes stop. I never would have gave them both until I read it! Using biobizz nutes & soil

yo, I'm 8 weeks. Into my first ever grow. 4 autoflowers... 1 x dinafem fruit auto and 3 sweetseeds Red poison. I have been experiencing exactly the same as you wit bottom leaves yellowing, first I was nitrogen toxicity then it was nitrogen deff and now I have just sussed it out... Potassium deficiency. Found out last night and added pot ash today. Apparently autos been more potassium than photo period towards the end. How far in are you? I'm also using bio bloom, bio grow and I'm growing I biobizz all mix soil. What light are you using?

Yo man! Today is day 28, 4 weeks exactly! Ive got a 400w hps lumatek turned down to 250w at the mo. I have PK 13 14 in the post should be here Friday. I'm using light mix soil. Do you use grow and bloom at the same time?

Don't worry man it's all good. Your plants look awesome. I have a a biobizz feeding chart somewhere around here I can't find it but as long as you're following it you should be fine. Also you should look into dimming ballast: it's detrimental to the bulb. for example you can run a 250 watt bulb with the 250 settings but a 400 watt bulb at the 250 setting will damage it

well to be honest mate... This grow has been a bit fucked up lol, was short on money, so I just thought fuck it and planted my seeds anyways... I thought by doing that then id have to get what I needed as it came up lol... It didn't all work out that way but its been ok. I actually brought the bloom befor the grow about 4 weeks in. Previous to that I had been using some tomato food. fter starting the bloom feed, I realised I needed to have the grow to mix with it. Biobizz are a bit crafty like that... You cant use 1 product without using the others lol. I didn't even have a way of measuring the ph for the first 4 weeks lol. I have got alot more stuff now so next grow should be alot better. Your plants are looking real healthy. Just wait till the buds really start to form, they just keep getting faster and bigger. Its really cool. Have you got a reading schedule you are following?

sorry... I didn't answer your question. Yeah I was using grow and bloom together then slowly reduced the grow. I followed a biobizz schedual and it kinda fucked me over, it only ran for like an a week plant ( germination to harvest) I ended up with N Deficiency because it looks like my plants are gonna go upto 12 weeks. I'm only using cfl's tho... Yours will prob be done quicker. Maybe aim for 10 weeks. Ignor the time the breeders say. If they say 8 weeks from germination. Then add at least 2 weeks. They have perfect contiguons and harvest as early as poss. If you let them run longer you will have a much bigger yeild.... So I'm constantly told lol. Not qualified to say that yet as iv not seen it. All I do know is... My red poison were 6-8 weeks from germination lol... I'm 8 weeks in and looking at 4 more

Yo, yeah Im using a book by Jorge Cervantes & the cannabis grow bible. Was just a bit worried when I seen few yellow leaves at the bottom! Apart from that I couldn't be happier with them! Look great for 4 weeks, didn't expect them to be this size! Just wasn't sure if to stop grow nutes & start bloom, or use them together! Here's a pic of a feeding guide I got off a grow forum (for autos).

yeah I would follow that... That seems about right. Keep an eye out for nitrogen toxicity, the leaf tips get a distinct claw like tip. Not all of them, just hear and there... The very tip of the leaf kinda turns down 90 degree angle. Also the plant will be super dark green. Almost black. You are prob loosing leaves due to lack of light low down. Your plants will prob keep stretching for a lil while longer... Measure their night... Mine were gaining an inch a day at their biggest push. When you see the vertical growth slow down/stop that's when your flowers will really start to fill out.

what are your temps like with that light? How much higher is it than your ambient temperature outside the tent? I have a 600w hps but I cant use it due to temp. It gets up to 35c and that's using a 6" extractor. I wanna use HID lighting for my next grow. I'm gonna get a dimable balast like you and also a cool tube or air cooled hood. That way I can try run at 600w.. To be honest tho, id be happy to run between 250 and 400. It wold produse so much better than my CFL. I just cant wait to finish this grow so I can nail my next one. Still gotta get drying and curing right first tho lol. That scares me the most. I'm researching it like mad now so I'm ready lol

With the 250 it's approx 24-27C (4" fan turned to 3/4 strength). On 400 it's 26-29C (fan on full). Soon as these are finished & I'm back from Amsterdam I'm doing photoperiods. Gonna use 250 veg & 400 flower. Also gonna run lights 12/12 at night this time to help with temps. On a hot day with the 400 my temps would be too high with 4" fan.

I'm growing two candy cane autos and I'm at day 30 and my bottom leaves turned yellow, I didn't worry much cause the rest of the plant looked great. You shouldn't worry. Out of the two I got both set of genes, short and stubby and long and strong I call em. This is my first grow as well

Sweet! Any recent pics? 4 of my widows are medium size & 1 is huge! Really sativa looking! I've only fed them twice so gonna give them 1.5ml/l of grow tomorrow see if that helps any!

They are on day 30 in this pic, as of last Saturday. You can see how much greener the indica is.

ok cool, what's your ambient temp outside of your grow area? How much does the 250 raise above your average air temp there?

Ok mate that's cool, its just so I know how much hotter the light makes it... If ya get what I mean lol. Don't go out your way tho. Do you have a fan on your intake..
or is it just a passive intake?

I'm really impressed with this but only because my first attempt at growing White Widow Autos is failing miserably... i'm on day 16 and mine are like the slowest growing autos on the planet... I know by the time they start flowering i'll be lucky if they're even 3 inches high and to be honest, if I get a joints worth out all four put together, i'll be lucky.

After having grown shivas before (not auto flowering) i thought my set up would be fine but for some reason, it's failing miserably. Anyway, wanted to say really impressed with your set up, your plants and hope you have a great smoke!
