First Grow - Day 28 of flower....how is it looking?

Hey everyone,

thanks for taking a look at my pictures. These are pics of a few buds that I took at random. The plant strain is Liberty Haze and these pics were taken on day 28 of flowing. I am using 8 2ft HO T5 lights. I'd be grateful to get some feedback on howit looks so far. Also, when do the calyxes really start to swell? Thanks!

That depends on the type of strain mainly. That seems like a google question. But they look great. how tall are they?

I don't know too much Liberty Haze. But it's Haze so it's a sativa dominant strain. It's going to take 8-10+ weeks for it to be ready. I'd say around the 8th or 9th week at the earliest you'll start seeing the calyxes swell. I love some sativa smoke but I really, really hate growing it. Takes forever to finish.

The plants are about 2 feet tall. I did a lot of topping/fimming to keep them short.

I am on Day 29 today and my buds aren't as big as yours. Yours are actually touching each other from top to bottom..mine aren't liek that. They are all their little separate balls.

It's not really a haze per se. It's a cross between g-13 and Chemdog 91. I think Barney's added the "haze" in more for marketing than anything else. In my opinion, I think it seems to be more of an indica dominant phenotype. From people I have spoken with on this board, the flowering time varies greatly as does the phentype for this strain. From people I've spoken with it's anywhere from 68 days to 91 days flowering. Thanks for your input!!

day 28 so you still got a while but i havent heard good from barnys farm so ill be folo this for the smoke report but the plants a looking nice my head band was about that size at the day so your doing nice

That's funny, I've heard and seen nothing but good things from Barney's farm. The only negative is they tend to underestimate their flower times.

really like everyone is always cracking on them bc they are top on some seed banks but most ppl that say they grow them the thc is like 10% highest but i can only say what i have heard have not yet grow any for my self but im glad some ppl are getting good grows

I figure that I would stop with the nutrients 7-10 days before I expect to harvest. I'm using coco - so can't really flush....just water without nutes. The write-up from Barney's is that they start to swell in the last three weeks. However, given the variety in phenotypes for this strain.....who know when that is. I'll just keep a close eye on the trichromes and watch for the pistils to darken and recede.

yea ive heard of some plants lasting 2 weeks longer just depinds on what you got

Wondering how you finished have 2 lib haze 33 days from flip.
