Hi there. First-time caller. Comments welcome on the following.
This is a chronicle of my first grow. I got a lot of info from books and I only discovered this forum after I started, so some things might not correlate with the info I have since found on this board. But everything seems to be going smooth so I am confident of a successful outcome.
Using a 400W HPS light in a 5x5x8 room with a smallish fan bringing in fresh air from the outside and another fan venting through the ceiling (sorry don't have any vol/hour stats handy). Heat steady at about 75F.
Day 1: Planted 3 germinated bag seeds from good but unknown stock in 6-gallon pots filled with Scott's Miracle Gro, which has 30-1-1 NPK ratio. Set light to 18/6 cycle.
Day 19: Introduce CO2 boost to grow room with timed dispersal.
Day 24: Marked growth improvement noted from CO2; plants grow fuller and one is noticeably taller. Research indicates all plants most likely of indica origin, I'm not 100% certain.
Day 30: Flowering stage begins. Set light to 12/12 cycle. Also introduce odor control measures because immediate area fails smell test.
Day 37: Decide to introduce nutes; using 30-30-15 NPK solution when watering, approx 3 times per week. Notice odor control working nicely.
Day 49: Tall plant sexes as male and is removed from grow room. Females showing obvious signs of flowering.
Day 56: Plants responding well to nute regimen. Some vegetation seems continue; plants seem fuller and add some height.
Day 71: Count approx 30 colas on each plant in various stages of maturity. One particularly brownish flower top is clipped and flashed for testing. Very happy with these results
Today is Day 72. I expect to start some harvesting on Day 80 and should be well into harvesting season by Day 88. I expect to be finished with curing by Day 120, maybe sooner. I will update with actual results.
What kind of yield do you think I'll get? I am betting it's somewhere upward of 2oz per plant but it's hard to say.
