Hi. This is my first grow ever, and also first post on Grasscity.
I am going to grow four plants in a 2'x2'x4' box under a Cooltube cooled HPS 250W. I'm going to use a soilless mix of Coco and Perlite (1) what proportions?). I will use the Screen of Green technique, both to increase yield, and limit the height of plants. I am also thinking about using both FIMming and defoliation.
I am at the stage of finishing my setup. This is what I got so far (and also questions about certain items):
1 x DS2 growbox (2'x2'x4');
1 x HPS 250W with CoolTube - (2) should I use it for whole grow, or,
1 x CFL 125W - rather use CFL for Veg and HPS for Flo?;
1 x inline fan - extracting air from the carbon filter, through Cooltube, to the outside; 110 CFM;
2 x PC 120mm fans - used for mixing the air, hung inside the growbox; both 56,3 CFM; on 24/7;
1 x aquarium air pump - for providing air to the roots; will also run all the time;
1 x aquarium water pump - for watering; (3) how many times a day, and how many liters of water should I program it to run?);
1 x activated carbon filter - DIY; 125-160mm diameter;
4 x 11 litre pots - (4) should I use capillary matting?;
1 x 50 litres of Canna Coco;
1 x set of nutrients - Canna A+B, Canna Rhizotonic, Canna Cannazyme, Canna PK 13/14, Canna Boost; (5) what fertilisation strategy should I use? the one provided by Canna Grow Guide | CANNA UK ? and should I choose light, standard, heavy feeding?;
1 x temperature and humidity meter;
Here is the data about my water, from a deep well, filtered in my house (I post them in European standards. I can calculate to other standards if needed)
pH - 8,05
Iron - in micrograms Fe/L - <30
Manganese - in micrograms Mn/L - <30
Ammonium - in mg NH+4/L - <0,05
Nitrites - in mg NO-3/L - 0,05
Nitrates - in mg NO-3/L - 0,20
Total hardness - in mg CaCO3/L - 79
Chlorides - in mg Cl/L - 5
Permanganate index - in mg O2/L - 0,90
I don't have to post microbiological test, do I? (I have them if needed).
Some questions: (6) Will I have to lower the pH of water to about 5.5-6.3 pH? Is the water any good for growing?
(7) Should I invest in CO2 tablets?

I want to grow two indicas and two sativas - any recommendations?
What is your opinion about my setup? I am open to any ideas.
