First Grow - Aghan Kush!

Hello all!

My babies are 2 weeks old. They are Afghan Kush feminized seeds. I planted them 2 weeks ago.

I am using 200w CFL lights in a Homebox XS. They are coming along nicely. They are turning yellow a little bit, but I hope to fix them with nutes.

Any advice will be appreciated! Let me know what y'all think! REP + TO ALL!!

looking good nice and bushy little plants. hold off on nutes for a bit until there a bit older imo. what soil are you using and whats your ph like?

are you planning to flower with that light?

I just transplanted to Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil...

This CFL is 200w but is a blue light with 6500k lumens... for flowering I will switch to a red 2700k...

Going to be keeping an eye on this one Looks good so far and if all goes well I think we should be harvesting at around the same time - got a nice CFL grow going on at the moment. My first one aswell.

definitely gonna watch this one, subbed. By the way, it isn't 6500k lumens or 2700k lumens, it's 6500k color temp and 2700k color temp, lumens are how many photons are coming out of the light, and color temperature is basically the wavelength of the light coming out. the same way sound waves are higher pitched when the waves are closer together (high pitch) and farther apart (low pitch) light changes with different amounts of space (measured usually in nano or micrometers) between tops of the light waves. 2700k light has waves farther apart than 6500k. you probably knew most of the physics lesson there, but a geek like me just loves to say all that.

I would say that you could definitely move your light closer to the plants, but they're already seeming to grow pretty bushy, so I'll leave it to a more experienced grower to tell you whether or not you should. my grow had a few yellowed leaves at the start, not sure if it was very similar to yours, my grow thread is in the CFL section under "first grow- diary of a growing obsession"
