First Grow 600watt Help a fellow grower out @@

This will be my first grow and will only be able to use a single 600 watt HPS and cannot add more lighting. I can have a maximum of 12 plants and have a 6 by 10 foot space available. I do not want to veg the plants so I want to get 18 to 24 inch clones and throw them straight into flowering. My target is 2 lbs. Is this realistic?

Under a 600 watt HPS is 12 plants too many? How about if I have a mover?

I already have the 600 watt HPS, hood, and ballast. I can spend around $1000 to $1500 on this project. What other equipment am I looking to buy so my plants can have the best environment possible considering my budget?

Inline Fan? $ CO2 tank or generator? $ AC Unit? Fans? PH Reader? $ PVC Plastic? What else is needed??

Should I close off a part of the room to make it smaller considering the maximum of 12 plants??

I think a light mover would definitely be in order for twelve plants.

If done correctly, 2 lbs could be realistic. It will all depend on your system and experience. Pretty hard to predict, though.

Ventilation is going to be key, you'll need good temp control (e.g. AC, heater, temp controller), oscillating fans are great and get a good pH and PPM meter. You're gonna need to keep everything perfect to maximize your yields.

I would have more advice, but I don't know much about CO2.

If they were 12 small plants you would be fine. 2lbs is a high goal for 600w HPS. Mblaze claims 1lb per 600w, and that is pretty good. I would reccomend a grow tent and inline fan....... Go for a pound........... or get another 600w, you may have a plant limit but not a light limit.....

The best I have seen (live) is 1lb+2oz with a 600W and that was considered excellent. Reports from here show better can be done. 2lb might be possible, but I would not expect 2lbs on your first grow with a new setup. It will definately take some trial and error and fine tuning your system to get such exceptional results.

I don't know your system, but here is a mistake I made - If you are going straight from clone to flower you might want to consider doing something to hold the plants up when they start putting on bud weight. You don't nessasarily need a scrog, you will just need something to make sure they are not falling all over each other during the final weeks of flower. This will definately help yield.
